Please—stop focusing on the ages of people who die from the disease:
—Anyone can get very very sick from this disease even if they don’t die from it. That means they are totally miserable for several weeks while clogging up the health care system.
—One reason so many very elderly people die is that when health care systems get overwhelmed they do triage, and stop trying to save old people’s lives. So, by getting very sick and going to the hospital you may be actively killing another human being.
Maybe you should glance at the chart again, the unknown should be read as no, because if there was an underlying cause, we would know it. You are welcome to make a spreadsheet if you want.
Also, do you know that 60% of Americans have at least 1 chronic condition? Do you know nearly 39% are obese? If just a fraction of those people were hospitalized, it would crash our healthcare.
Am I saying, panic? Of course not, but I am saying there is very good reason for what President Trump and many governors are doing to flatten the curve.
No co-pays, brought to you by BodyMortgagers Care. What a sacrifice of bone throwing
What makes me hysterical is the amount of people who don’t know much trying to convince themselves and others that they have nothing to worry about.
Stop.
Seems to me the press were covering the virus like it was the potential end of civilization. I’m sure they don’t agree. My point is this is not a virus bad enough to tear down the economy for. Yes, its infectious like hell, bit it targets the elderly with pre-existing conditions. H1N1 was arguably a worse virus as it attacked children. I’m see these scares come and go and NONE of them are even remotely worthy for Hollywood treatment. They are moderately bad flus. I guess I’m just already had enough of this social distancing BS and all the proclamations of millions dead. Even Fauci and Birk are barely tolerable with their ridiculous 200,000 targets and total lock down pushes.
But I will amend my expectations. I really thought 10,000 by end of April, but it is possible I will be wrong, since the USA hit 7000 today.
You and I have been talking about the need for masks for weeks now.
I think the only reason that this guidance was not issued before is that there is simply not enough masks in the US.
The Air Bridge from Asia is now bringing in more masks. Not that I trust these masks - Im glad I have my own.
I suspect the adjusted mask guidance for next week will be EVERYONE MUST WEAR MASKS!

Ecuador: Bodies of coronavirus victims are on streets
City of Guayaquil is epicenter of pandemic in South American country

BOGOTA, Colombia
In Guayaquil, ground zero for the spread of COVID-19 in Ecuador, dead bodies have been piling up on the streets, in hospitals and inside houses.
According to official records, 70% of the country’s cases are located in the city of Guayaquil, where 2,243 of the 3,163 cases nationwide have been registered.
The mayor of Guayaquil, Cynthia Viteri, requested on Thursday that the Ecuadorian government allow the municipality she leads to remove the bodies of those who died from the COVID-19 disease or other circumstances, as a result of the alarming situation the coastal city is going through due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“In view of the alarming situation caused by the removal of fatal victims led by the Joint Task Force appointed by the Government, we ask the competent authorities to authorize that we remove the bodies that remain in the houses,” reads a message on the Twitter account of the local leader.

Sam:
There is a reason that more than half of the world’s population is in lock-down.
You may believe you have more information and intelligence than leaders all over the world.
Of course there is the remote possibility that they know something you don’t. :-)
Why dont you try it and see?
Just kidding, dont,
Tell that to the baby and the 11 year old who died from CV.
I’m sorry to be rude, but you’re not going to be able to convince me of anything, because you don’t know anything.
You have much learning to do.
Go without a mask as long as you like.
Some lessons just have to be learned the hard way!
Ah, was jumped on anyway. Next time I’ll ask my questions on a different thread.
People seem to be taking precautions all across the country. I just thought it would be beneficial for the entire nation to know all the facts regarding age/underlying deaths.
DO YOU ALWAYS USE SO MANY EXCLAMATION POINTS????!!!!!!!!!!?????!!????!??!
Take a hint: a little goes a long way.
That goes for both capital letters and exclamation points.
Just look at NYC.
“It starts out like a murmur, then grows like thunder.”
He didn’t jump on you.
He replied to your post.
The mortality rate/age isn’t the ‘biggie’ with this virus.
It’s the morbidity. ie, how many of these patients in theier 30s-50s require hospitalization for 2 or 3 weeks to recover?
Because 30-50 isn’t ‘elderly’ or ‘aged’. It’s middle aged. It’s the people who run companies, are leaders in their groups, who have mortages, kids in school.
How many of these people can we do without should the HCS fail? Because those are the major earners/taxpayers.
Hopefully by the end of April, we’ll have good treatments being widely available so we can start bringing the economy back online.
Birx used the word “metro” today. We’re calling this the “China Metro Plague”. And 90% of the reporting is coming out of NY
