As good as it is, it’d be even more useful if it’d show the updated faces of Hillary voters keeling over in shock and pain.

Not to diminish the seriousness of this crisis — but, there are (as of today) 46 deaths in Virginia. 16 of them (33%) are reported in ONE nursing home in Richmond. Ongoing investigation.

Navajo reservation of 350k pop. has almost as many cases as the entire state of NM with 2 million pop, their president has essentially closed the reservation to non natives and instituted a curfew, but tribal members still pour into outlying communities. San Juan county NM has 41 cases of which 22 the tribe counts as its members. Even with the huge Indian Health Service hospital in Shiprock NM, natives flood off the reservation to hospitals in Gallup, Farmington or Cortez Co.

Social distancing is not even being attempted by the tribe members obviously looking at tribal infection rates and reservation surrounding towns.

Seems the tribal prez has the general idea for tribal quarantine, but needs to tighten it up from incoming only to both in and out travel if he is to get better control of the skyrocketing infection rate on his lands.

"Doing all their shopping and trying to keep them at home."

Are you isolating them from yourself? This is a question I have with my family.

My wife and I just had two friends die of the coronavirus, both in their mid-80s--took a trip to New York and came back infected.

Mostly fear I think. A foreboding sense of having made it past their due date and knowing they are on borrowed time. Every day can become their last. I have begun to feel it. Not in a morose way but a realization of the facts of life and death. There is so much left you want to do and so much you are not able to do. Knowing it is likely that an oak you plant will be for someone else to sit in its shade. Bittersweet. Also knowing how quickly you and your planting it will be forgotten as you have seen happen to so many others.

You should be able to understand this intellectually if not emotionally.

They give the county population and the death and (currently known) infection and death numbers. Per capita numbers can be calculated from the data given.

Our new entertainment - I wonder how much us staring at this maps every 10 minutes is part of the problem.

Years ago I noticed that in most pix of senior citizens they had a scowl face. After thinking about it for a while and getting well into my 60s and heading for the 70s, I concluded that they are probably in pain a lot of the time.

I know I frequently have a 'new' pain. Sometimes it sticks around for several days or weeks and other times it goes away by the next day.

Meds don't always work.

“Is there a map for the flu?”

I’d like to see that too. And a map showing the number of babies aborted every day (more deaths than the Wuhan flu).

How come there is a disclaimer with the recovered cases. Are we not interested in the recovered? Are the liberal cites the ones with the highest number of cases and death?

Thanks, I missed that they gave the county populations in their data. The color scale will be misleading unless they take that into account.

You make a great point. A LOT of seniors have chronic pain.
