The streets of Britain have become swamped with tons of rubbish and clothes to be recycled in coronavirus quarantine clear-outs.
Councils have warned of a 'wave of waste' coming from homes across the country.
As most of the nation is in quarantine, families are generating much more food leftovers. And many are using the spare time to carry out home and garden makeovers, creating even more rubbish and recycling.
On top of that, people are even dumping items outside charity shops building mountains of clothes and bric-a-brac despite the fact they are not open.
Cases of fly-tipping across Britain have sky rocketed as coronavirus chaos sweeps the nation, with many tips up and down the country being closed completely or left severely short staffed.
Selfish individuals have used the window of opportunity while the nation rallies together to tackle Covid-19 to dispose of unwanted items, causing scenes of filth and clutter across both rural and urban areas.
Fly-tipping figures have now surged by up to 300 per cent, officials have revealed, and look set to get worse with many key tipping sites and recycle centres remaining closed for the foreseeable future. Kerbside collections have also been scaled back in some areas.
Shocking images across the UK show piles of waste dumped on roadsides, lanes parks and fields, left to the responsibility of local communities.

It’s cow-tipping for mites.
'At 'ere is quite funny, mite!
A ‘’dust bin’’.
In normal circumstances landfills charge commercial users for excess use, hazardous waste disposal, etc. Some people object to the cost so they will find a little-used country road or an empty lot, dump the waste there and let the locals worry about the mess. That is fly tipping. Individuals also do it on a smaller basis. The garbage man won’t take our sofa? Ok, we’ll just toss it out on the side of the road.
Headline, August 2020.
“Covid-19 numbers few, Bubonic Plague numbers sky rocket.”
I see it here in northern Wis. low life scum in my opinion.
My fear is that the confinement will yield another 2nd season of infections next year which will kill even more, ie those that got not sick the previous year with the less resistant adapted strain, like happened with the mild spanish flu the first year of it.
Fly-tipping means dumping your trash/garbage anywhere that it’s not legal/authorizied to do so. Dumping and running as it were.

Gotta love British terms. I saw a warning in the UK against Fly Tipping at a supermarket dumpster, and was like, “what the hell is that?” It was next to ‘recycle’ bins, so I figured it meant people rummaging through those bins for goodies - it didn’t occur to me until now to look it up.
I suppose eBay sellers are picking through the piles, and pulling anything that looks good. You can take a decent piece, wash it, iron it, put it on a dummy in a photo booth, and it will sell.
We went out for supplies yesterday. Noticed that at least some people are using this time to clean up their yards but did not see any fly-tipping going on.
