Todays Cryptogram
YW YC L NRRQC VZUZRFLWYBU WR JWWUZ WZJWKC WKLW OR ROU UQCU DYQQ CVULT. OUYQ FLYGLO
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram. If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle: ORGANIZING IS WHAT YOU DO BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING, SO THAT WHEN YOU DO IT, IT IS NOT ALL MIXED UP. A.A. MILNE
And the day before: DRESS UNAFFECTEDLY, AND WITHOUT HASTE, FOLLOW THE CHANGES IN THE CURRENT TASTE. MOLIERE
First three words at a glance, fourth followed easily...< 2 min.
"Yes indeed. Thou wouldst make a good fool."
2 min. Last letter of contraction; 2nd, 1st, 3rd word, contraction...etc.
Hmmm
Once the vowels are in place the rest just rolls along.
(got ‘lucky’ and was able to get the 1st 3 words before Hal knew what we were doing)
Like Chris Plante is wont to say
“It is what the ‘MSM’ doesn’t report is sometimes the key”
(Or something like that)
Same here. 1, 2, 3, go. About 2 and 1/2 min. 5th word was first time I have seen it in cryptogram.
Assuming I got the quote correct, drawing a blank on the last name.
Pretty much summed up my solving of the puzzle today.
