As a layman this all looks true to me. This is the difference between being smacked with a hammer or a sledge hammer.
Seems true to me.
Makes since.
And it reinforces the need for isolation and separation of those who test positive or are developing symptoms or are ill, their separation from all who are well, so that the healthy do not have to be isolated from the healthy, and by healthy I mean those who have contracted the virus and are recovered and no longer testing positive.
Duh....
A bunch of geniuses, these folks are!
And how many times did CDC say you didnt need to wear a mask..and we here said..lessen the viral load. Their recommendation made no sense.
I remember a Dr here..and i cant remember his name..kept saying over and over again -lessen the viral load.
Wish I could remember that guys alias.
This is not only true for the individual but also countries or communities. President Trump stopping flights lessoned the initial loading on the US.
Large cities that received a lot of travelers with the infection had swift increases. Also Louisiana with Mardi Gras mayor.
Our rural coastal Oregon communities had no cases until that one weekend where tourists who were told to self quarantine in Washington or Portland decided they could inundate the coastal communities.
We now have health care workers infected, health facilities closed and additional cases rising daily.
I think this could explai New York and Northern Italy where people are packed in close, and once the virus is circulating you continually get re-exposed and re-exposed and re-exposed, until you get overloaded and really sick.
Common sense.
this is why, if true, masks are important- when a person walks through a ‘cloud of virus’ from someone who coughed into the air before you walked through that same area, and has no mask on, they are getting a large amount of the virus on their face, in their noses, eyes, lungs-
but a person with a mask and glasses and gloves, walking through same cloud, will get only a small amount possibly in eyes, and on clothes, where it won’t be easily transported inside the person- most of the cells will be blocked by the mask- as long as the person doesn’t touch face, they should be ok and only get it mildly IF this new article is true-
It almost makes sense for every healthy person to go out and get a very small does of this disease, and then (hopefully?) only get the mild form , then isolate for a good while and be forever protected and not able to spread to others.
“A study on COVID-19 patients in China...”
STOP RIGHT THERE!
CHINA? Not worth the toilet paper its printed on.
Posts BUMP!
When we get back to commerce, I suggest we no longer buy ANYTHING made in China.
From cheap plastic $hit that breaks to poison pet food to giving us a worldwide pandemic, I say “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
FU CHINA. Fu Manchu.
Matches what we’ve been saying. If you get a light load, your body has time to ‘prep’ for the upcoming war against the virus. In the case of the human body that might mean cells storing extra food, being ready for a reduction of Oxygen, emptying out the trash (since refuse collection will slow down), etc. All of this would be signaled by hormones or something like it.
But take in a big viral load - and the body has to do whatever it can to fight the bug, but the cells aren’t as prepped, and that’s why we see a lot of doctors dying - they’re in the worst possible environment.

interesting study aerosol vs direct contact viruses in general high temps humidity etc..
