Corporate press releases don’t need to be excerpted:

Johnson & Johnson’s Lead COVID-19 Vaccine Candidate
Johnson & Johnson began efforts in January 2020, as soon as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) sequence became available, to research potential vaccine candidates. Research teams at Janssen, in collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, part of Harvard Medical School, constructed and tested multiple vaccine candidates using the Janssen AdVac® technology.

Through collaborations with scientists at multiple academic institutions, the vaccine constructs were then tested to identify those with the most promise in producing an immune response in preclinical testing.

Based on this work, Johnson & Johnson has identified a lead COVID-19 vaccine candidate (with two back-ups), which will progress into the first manufacturing steps. Under an accelerated timeline, the Company is aiming to initiate a Phase 1 clinical study in September 2020, with clinical data on safety and efficacy expected to be available by the end of the year. This could allow vaccine availability for emergency use in early 2021. For comparison, the typical vaccine development process involves a number of different research stages, spanning 5 to 7 years, before a candidate is even considered for approval.

September 2020. Awesome!! Just in time for the economy to be in depression and nobody to have any health coverage that will pay for the vaccination.

Our emergency development system isn’t broken, it’s non-existent.

I am a firm believer in drug efficacy and safety. But sometimes it’s an emergency and it’s time to break the glass.

I thought they were trying to get lead out of vaccines?! :p

Candidates are good - but they’re still a year or more out until we’ll see them if they’re successful.

Dude. They’re figuring out a vaccine for the common cold, that’s long been considered basically impossible. And getting it done in 7 months.

Also remember the Swine Flu 70s scare. The vaccine they rushed out killed than the flu. When breaking the glass one still must use basic precautions.

Partnership with U.S. Department of Health & Human Services

I bet. Sounds like the Orange man is creating spies to tattle on the bureaucrats so he can beat them into submission again before they can put an end to more of these anecdotal developments.

Did they make it out of asbestos laden talcum powder?

They can vaccinate against lead? A bullet-proof jacket?

And they used the unsanitary jet injector for administration.

You’re welcome.

As you can see, most FReepers would rather make smartass comments about the headline, anyway.

“Under an accelerated timeline, the Company is aiming to initiate a Phase 1 clinical study in September 2020”

September for the start of phase 1? There are several companies that are starting phase 1 in April.

Disagree. Some are “emergencies” and then there is this.

And you’re wrong. Again: rushed flu vaccine that killed more people than the flu it was vaccinating against. Then of course there’s China’s rushed hospital that collapsed. What if they screwed up with this vaccine and it gives everybody COVID? Would you blame them for rushing? Probably.

Just long enough for the Gates data dots to be produced in sufficient quantity for insertion with your vaccination!
