Nearly 100 more Big Apple residents died from the coronavirus since Sunday morning, raising the city’s death toll to 776, according to city data.

From 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., the city tallied 98 more deaths and 1,166 more coronavirus cases, meaning 33,474 people in the city have now been infected with the illness.

Queens, in that time-frame, remained the hardest-hit borough with 10,737 cases.

Brooklyn has the second most cases at 8,887, followed by the Bronx at 6,250, Manhattan at 5,582 and Staten Island with 1,984.

Mayor de Blasio earlier Sunday warned the city will be in the throes of the virus for quite some time to come.

“We will go through a really tough, tough journey,” the mayor said at a press briefing.

“April will be worse than March, and I fear that May could even be worse than April,” he said. “We’re going to be in for weeks of this.”

Gov. Cuomo on Sunday extended mandatory business closures until at least April 15 to cope with the pandemic.

Several hours later, President Trump extended the federal social distancing guidelines to April 30.

Why does World Meter record New York having 82 deaths for Sunday? By the way, that is a huge drop from Saturday’s 277 deaths. Wouldn’t you say?

Well, several million courses of the Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin & zinc sulfate combo prescribed by some courageous physicians might help turn the tide.

NYC has a population of 8.4 million

Almost 1100 people have died.

That’s about .01 percent or so. Many of them were statistically likely to die of the next infection they got.

Each a soul of inestimable value. And there will almost certainly be more. But it is a tiny fraction of the deaths in New York City.

About 420 people die every day in New York City.

Open borders, high density living, mass transit, all the things loved by liberals are killing us now.

When this is over, I would love to see a study done of why New York City has had so many cases, at last check more or less half of all the cases in the country, while other larger cities have yet to see this many including some of the cities where initially appeared such as in Washington state.

And some busloads of illegals to boot?

And we don’t know how long each was in the hospital. So dying on the same day is simply coincidence....maybe not the best word.

The 7 hour span being the only thing reported could be because of the new 5pm deadline for all hospitals in the nation to get their spreadsheets with numbers and deaths in to the feds.

Everyone getting on the same daily reporting clock.

Garbage, less then half the number died on Sunday compared to Saturday in NY. That is not the trend they predicted.

Worldometer has a total of 2,488 deaths in the U.S. in the last 45 days.
That is an average of 55 deaths per day.

The CDC estimates a median of 43,000 deaths from seasonal influenza for the ‘19-’20 season which was 174 days.
That is an average of 247 deaths per day.
