That’s good news. Maybe people are starting to wake up.

“Actually, the earliest cases in CA were illegals. CA hid their origins, now it’s lost in the sauce.”

Considering it’s not true, it’s pretty easy to lose that in the sauce too.

Remember, of course, CT is in the “red zone”.

I call it the “safe zone”—no flu bros to be found.

That unfortunately explains the refrigerated trailers.

80% are age 64 and under.

So much for “only sick old people get it.”

I was just reading this, along the same lines:

Early data show average age of Georgia deaths from virus much lower than global figure

The average age of death from the coronavirus is 80, the U.S. surgeon general said earlier this month.

Dr. Jerome Adams apparently was referring to the global average.

The latest statistics here in Georgia, though, show the average age of death from COVID-19 is 68.

Now THAT’S a stretch...even for a CNN propagandist.

Good grief!

My impression of Trump today was we have the best man for this job. He was up there swinging his stick and getting rid of some stuck on stupids. Come on. We all know hospital workers have been selling masks. A freeper posted here he was offered $1/mask from a relative. He sold 20 from hospital stash. Lol.

The SF hospitals seem to be in great shape for now:

That is partly why I am pleasantly surprised.

100X on ventilators?

Talk about panic. That’s panic.

And there’s NO WAY they’ll get that many. Unless they want to pay cash in 2021.

By then, they’ll pass on the opportunity to stock up. Even though they said they were needed.

This also shows that asymptomatics don't spread it much, mostly droplets. Coughers, sneezers spread it a lot.

Mitigation does not reduce the number of people infected. It just spreads it out over time. Areas limited in geographic size, and with limited access from the outside, can reduce the number of people infected inside. This is not possible on a national scale and any difference in total national deaths is not material.

Likewise an effective cure for the Wuhan Virus won't materially reduce the total number infected. It just means less will die or suffer permanent impairment.

The Spanish Flu was not mitigated on any significant scale, yet the total proportion of those infected worldwide and in the US varied by less than 4% - 500 million of 1400 million worldwide (35.7%), and 31 million of 103 million Americans (32%).

I'll use the 1918 Spanish Flu as a model for one-year infectiveness for a virgin field airborne-transmissible epidemic until there is convincing evidence to the contrary.

Note that I have always postulated multiple waves of infection for the Wuhan Virus over a one-year period. This is simply NOT a One-And-Done disease. It will hit us with periodic waves until it mutates to a less deadly form, humanity develops herd immunity, or an effective vaccine is used worldwide.

The media is incapable of learning this until this first wave subsides and a second one comes along. Medical authorities are too wrapped up in dealing with the Now to look ahead six months. The only thing American politicians are looking ahead to are elections in November.

What do you suppose SF and LA have done, to contain/control, their homeless population?
