This thing moves too fast. Without mitigation, 1/3 would be exceptionally lucky.
There never would have been a 100% unmitigated response. People would have self isolated and the cities would be desolate. But they would have infected half the country in their panicked flight. No place would be safe. No amount of prepping would be good enough for the majority of people.
Likewise, 90% is improbable. But the infectiousness and stealth capabilities of this virus are a formidable combination.

Maybe we can get the once used masks saved and sent to the US. Trump has a company who claims they can disinfect the masks 20 times before significant degradation.

I think you will find the the earliest cases in California were citizens, tourists released from vacation cruise ships, the release that violated Trump’s order to not let them Dock in the US until they had completed more time in quarantine on the ship.

I’m glad I live in a state that does. In fact CA is looking prescient with their early social distancing. Their per capita numbers are far better than anyone expected.
