Trying to defend this thread is nonsense.
It is a stupid thread.
Maybe I should start a thread about how I pressure washed my driveway today.
Or maybe a thread about something stupid one of my cats did today.
Perhaps others have been waiting for the rental option to happen. Perhaps other opinions are welcome like the person who said it was underwhelming. And, sorry, if I broke FR protocol. It was posted under general discussion, not breaking news.

I do enjoy a good cat story. But dog stories are overrated.
That would have been much more informative and important than a silly thread like this.
If your cats have ever done a credible recreation of the Battle of Ypres then by all means tell us about it.

I suppose he could have started another of the gazillion threads about the virus with either doomsday prognostications or “it’s just like the flu” dismissals.
Personally, I welcome any thread that seems completely unrelated to our current woes. The best thing about 1917? It was before 1918.
