Jimmy Wynn had a great first half season in 1974 with the Dodgers. Then the opposing team realized he could not throw anymore and he was never the same player.

Helped lead the Dodgers to a pennant in ‘74. Never realized he was that small.

Sad to hear. I sure saw my share of Astrodome Moon shots on TV that he laid on the the Dodgers when they were in town way back when.

If I recall they had a few seats with plaques on them way back in the upper Deck of the Astrodome where his longest Home Runs landed.

Jimmy Wynn was Ron Gant (hilariously listed at 6’) before Ron Gant. Good player. Small power hitter mostly in an era when 30 home runs was a real accomplishment. RIP

When I lived in Houston, I really enjoyed the Astros in his heyday.
