The US now has more confirmed cases of coronavirus than any other country with at least 82,404 positive tests.
According to the latest figures collated by Johns Hopkins University, the US overtook China (81,782 cases) and Italy (80,589).
The grim milestone came as President Donald Trump predicted the nation would get back to work "pretty quickly", after 3.3 million layoffs.
More than 1,100 people with Covid-19 have died in the US.

HELL NO.
This “narrative” was all-too-predictable. Everyone must push back against it.
1. The Chinese statistics cannot be compared with those in the USA (even, if you assume for a moment, the Chinese are attempting to be honest). The Chinese never counted any of the mild cases, that resolved themselves without being reported — those are a majority of cases. The USA figures have jumped since massive testing began — these statistics include all cases, mild to severe. We simply don’t know about mild cases in China, because they were never counted.
2. The only valid comparison is per people — e.g cases per million people. For instance, the US population is about 5 times greater than Italy’s. If the country totals match, the USA rate/million people would be one fifth that of Italy.
Expect the lying media (sorry about the redundancy) to use country-to-country comparisons because those comparisons cast the USA in the worst possible light. Don’t let them away with those lies!

Never let a crisis go to waste. I think sanctuary states are inflating the numbers for more federal aid. Colorado positive counts includes those who test positive, those who have been near a positive person is considered positive for the count and those that have some of the symptoms are considered positive. You can have allergies and be counted positive in Califrado.

The USA “Case Fatality Rate” is 1.4%.
The USA rate has been stable - or declining - for almost three weeks.

It’s this type of publicity that is used to scare people. It’s the flu folks. People get it, a few die. It has happened every year for over 100 years. Now is not the time panic. That should have happened over 6 generations ago. And it’s lies like this article that makes people panic. This is a political scam.

I'm reminded of the reports, a few years back, when the late North Korean despot and golfing great Kim Jong Il scored 5 (five) holes in one, and this during his first golf game ever.
The world, absolutely everyone, knew this was an embarrassing lie. But that is what communist regimes do (with an uncanny resemblance to ABC, NBC, CBS, Hillary, Slow Joe, etc, n'est ce pas?).
No serious person believes that the case incidence and case fatality rates of the chinese wuhan Virus are within even one order of magnitude of what china purports.

Some of these states have lost significant population since the last census. Receiving federal CORONAVIRUS aid is a bonanza for them!
Trump addressed this in today’s news conference, crediting this to the dramatic increase in the number of tests the US is now doing. The implication being that the actual number of reported cases in most countries is limited by the number of tests they do (or can do) do confirm Covid-19.
Remember, most cases will be mild, with few symptoms, so the raw numbers don’t really tell the whole story. The real concern is the percentage of cases that require hospitalization or more extensive care that can overwhelm the healthcare system. That’s the reason for the extraordinary measures being taken to “flatten the curve”.
Also, each year millions of people contract seasonal flu, so we shouldn’t expect the absolute number of cases for this flu variant to substantially differ from those norms.
