A cruise ship carrying at least 77 people with flu-like symptoms on board is on its way to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to a statement from the cruise line. The ship, MS Zaandam, intends to arrive in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, March 30 but cruise line Holland America notes that plans are still being finalized.snip
Zaandam left Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 7 on a trip that was supposed to end in San Antonio, Chile on March 21 but that route was disrupted over coronavirus concerns. Holland America announced on March 13 that it would suspend its global cruise operations for 30 days due to the continued port closures and travel restrictions surrounding COVID-19 and in an abundance of caution.

Two Costa Cruises ships, with only crew members on board, are trying to dock at Port Miami on Thursday after at least 30 individuals were reported as having flu-like symptoms, a company spokesperson said.
Roger Frizzell, a spokesperson for Carnival Corporation, which owns Costa Cruises, told TIME in an emailed statement on Thursday afternoon that at this point, the Magica and the Favolosa do not have official clearance to enter from the port of Miami
Why go to US port? Go back to port of origin!
What state do you live in?
Maryland. Its fun ;)
Do we have any submarines in that area that can stop the ship?sarc/
Have you considered traveling out of state for your surgery.
Not all states are in he midst of a statewide lockdown - fewer Cov-19 cases, which says something about the availability of hospital resources also, and some states do allow/honor out of state insurance coverage, though it might be “out of network” with respect to some plan, but then also some states have a lower average cost for some things compared to other states.
I remember looking into that sort of possibility for something for myself awhile back.
I appreciate the thought, for sure. I have an appointment on May 7 with a different surgeon. Plus I have had cortisone shots and I believe surgery has to be at least 3 months after that.

The three great questions of the 20th century:
Socialism or capitalism?
Fascism or democracy?
Mary Ann or Ginger?
Heres a bit of trivia: Stalin preferred Ginger.
Ford or Chevrolet?

Was the rumor that trip insurance wasn’t going to cover Corona just a rumor, and not fact?
