Gasoline can deteriorate though and must be treated and used within a reasonable time frame.

Mr. mm is anal about that.

One FReeper mentioned once that whenever there is weather expected, he empties the gas cans into his vehicle and buys fresh to fill those back up.

That way the gas never gets too old and ruined.
