The definition of herd immunity is a certain percentage of people contract a virus ( or gets vaccinated), and when you get to a certain number, it protects the vulnerable.
Being as a vaccine will not be in use for 18 months, the only way of herd immunity NOW is by catching and recovering from the virus.
Isolating people will not work, it only takes one person to restart a pandemic.
That is the hard fact of life.

Ron could always do what Argentina did, block the runways so no planes can land, but he’d also have to block the interstate since I’d imagine a lot of people are driving. Which calls into question what the states between NY and FL are doing to control who comes into their states, too.

I am NOT voting for Biden.
I am also NO LONGER voting for Trump after his “townhall” on FNC this PM. (And for the record, I voted for him last time).
The #1 job of a President is to keep the American people safe.
Donald is prioritizing his re-election (which he needs the economy to recover for) over the health & safety of the American people.
I cannot in good conscious vote for ANYONE that does that.
Just understand that a destroyed economy has a cost in lives as well. It truly is a fine line the President has to walk. He’s not copping out or bailing like so many have in the past. Trust him.

Many have characterized this plague as a war.
They are likely correct, even if they don’t yet know how correct they were.
When a nation faces an existential threat, there will be mass casualties.
And we are nearing the time when that choice must be made.
And whoever makes it will need the personal solace of God himself.

I don’t dispute what Trump is attempting.
My grudge is with the ‘just burn through it’ with no quarantines or shutdowns kind of people.
They want US to develop the herd immunity, the hard way, at our expense while they’re safely holed up at home.
Because their trust funds are hurting.
It looks like this disease considers everyone over 30 or so to be ‘old’.
Because those are the ones who don’t die right away but end up catastrophically financially impaired.
‘average’ flu doesn’t kill doctors and nurses and police and firemen and paramedics
Less than 30% of Americans participated in our Revolutionary War at our nations founding. If we can wake up half of us we are doing great!!!
It’s the 25-30% communists that always worry me if the drag the LIVs with them to the Chinese side.

There are many of us out here who live on well less than they do. It’s all about needs vs wants. Some of us are driving older vehicles. Some of us chose houses within our means. Some of us stick to a strict budget. Some of us don’t blow money out partying every weekend. Some of us pay off the credit card every month. Some of us have scrimped and saved for a rainy day.
It isn’t our fault others have live outside their means on more than we take home.
There are going to be some very upset people who do not believe this virus is very dangerous for the USA. I am afraid if the new Choloroquine treatement does not work our Hospitals in major city will be overrun.
The group that believes the virus is real and a big deal have the belief that Choloroquine to help reduce the numbers of people in the emergency room across America. I image this group would be thankful for a drug to save that many lives or if the virus went away.
The flu crowd, I am not sure what rational would take place to justify the belief it is just like a flu after watching hours of TV news showing the Emergency rooms in New York, Alanta, LA and other large cities. Would they just state it is fake news?
I blame the news for the number of people not believing this virus is a big deal. The number of years of slanted reports, even today they slant the news against President Trump. Some say the news cause the panic where people believe the hospitals are going to be overrun. Who can develop their decisions and judgement base on today’s news?
I understand why there are so many people with different beliefs. In the end I pray for the virus not to big deal and go away. My feelings will not be hurt.
I like to believe someone like President Trump is wise and is able to see the truth and determine if the virus is a threat or not. Currently he is treating it as a real threat and trying to find a balance response to the issue.
It’s slow testing. Oregon has the same problem. State testing statistics mean nothing for that reason. Use only the national totals.
