What’s the percent who choke on their own bs?
“Why such disparity with other states?”
Didn’t LA simply stop testing?
Herd
Heard! :)
France reports 2,446 new cases of coronavirus and 240 new deaths, raising total to 22,302 cases and 1,100 dead

Cuomo pinky swore he’d share later.
Best Buy workers thing they will all be out of jobs soon.
Work! you peasants at walmart, even if you catch the virus and end up with a million dollar medical bill! EEEEEARn that $10/hr.
Kaila needs her walmart crap!
If you don’t like serving Kaila, quit and live in a box under a bridge.
(and people wonder why the youngsters hate ‘capitalism’)
Because Kaila’s capitalism has no ‘social contract’. Only benefits for Kaila’s portfolio...
He’s keeping people calm. His job. Ignore that stuff and watch what the administration DOES. Something has to offset the MSM while the countermeasures are deployed.
Cuomo is an idiot, only good at passing the buck and making it look like it’s someone else’s fault. Can’t even do 2nd grade math.
Our county leaders laughed about CV last week and encouraged people to break the stay-home to go party at local hotels and vacation rentals. It’s all about $$$$ to them.
We close the stores? Can you imagine the riots?
Trump is opening up the country mid April. That is probably the max our economy can take.
First responders:
The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office now has four confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The fourth case is a deputy assigned to the Custody Bureau, who is self-isolating and under quarantine at home.

The “burn through” gang should realize that first responders will get hit the hardest of anyone.
They didn’t volunteer to be guinea pigs.
Can we get those same people to run the numbers for Trump?
If he goes the “open the economy” route, not only will he crash the economy ANYWAY (because of millions of sick and / or dead Americans), but he’ll also have that hung around his neck.
He’s in a tough spot for sure, but has two choices: open the economy and crash the healthcare system - and shortly thereafter, the economy, OR crash the economy and try to preserve the healthcare system.
Neither choice is “good”, but the answer SHOULD be obvious. It’s terrifying that he can’t see what is so blatantly clear.

“family members start dropping dead”
There are some that don’t even care about that.
That said, this country is likely to go back to work before many think it’s prudent.
As Trump says obliquely, this country was built on entrepreneurship, business and damn hard work over a period of 4 centuries.
Turn that off for a year and the entire nation will die. Hell, the world itself may die.
At some point the people who build and work and create wealth will go back to work whether anyone else likes it or not.
I hope they wait as long as they possibly can.
But that is the reality.
Story on US testing.
BestBuy workers are correct!
Once our electronics inventory sells through there will be a LOT of job losses that have nothing to do with any closures or quarantines in CONUS.
Totally baked into the cake now.
If you want a computer or laptop this year you’d better get that now!
I suspect getting the automanufacturing plants to retool to make ventilators has a lot to do with keeping those lines running doing SOMETHING. Because at this point they’re either out of widgets from China to install in the new cars, or close to being so.
And my dishwasher quit. First thing we do when we get money is get another one. I just hope there are dishwashers still for sale then :/
” you need to get into the stores and get to work. Its your patriotic, American duty to lead the way”
Exposing the hypocrisy will not change reality.
“You dont understand case fatality rate.”
Are you sure you do?
Several things. First, it's doubling every 2.5 days in the United States, and has been since February 28.
It is true that Trump was late to the party. However, he's no different at all from every single politician out there. It's one of the first things I learned in my epidemiology studies. Politicians suffer, as we all do, from a normalcy bias. It tends to be particularly strong in them. It prevents them from seeing when things have already gone from normal to abnormal. The problem is that in epidemics, the time to act will ALWAYS be when acting seems like overreacting. And there's no political benefit in it for them. If they act early, and the action they take prevents the catastrophe from happening, then everyone will say they overreacted. And if they don't act soon enough, then the catastrophe develops and everyone says they didn't act soon enough. It's a no-win situation for a politician, and they know it. But eventually they see it when the medical realities in front of them become undeniable, or they have people around them who can get through to them.
The normalcy bias was strong in Trump. And I think it still is. But fortunately there are enough people around him who can see through it to help him see the situation for what it is. I don't hold that against him. In fact, his optimistic way is one of the things I like about him and voted for him because of. But no one is perfect, and I don't expect them to be. And in this case, I believe he is acting appropriately, for the most part. One action I'm still waiting for him to take is to call out Nancy Pelosi by name, in public, on prime time TV, for holding up the relief package with all her bullsh17 that has nothing to do with the pandemic.
It’s not the dropping dead that’s as catastropic.
It’s the million dollar medical bills.
Nobody will ever pay those off.
I’ve got a relative who had (probably viral) pancreatitis nearly 15 years ago.
Spent 3 weeks in the ICU, damn near died.
He was 32 at the time.
His choices were to declare bankruptcy or never retire. Guess which one he chose?
Can you even declare bankruptcy out of medical bills anymore?
