A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
I’ll save the 100mph+ runs for proper highways, went 135 on a rural 2-lane road before. Past 90 the center line was getting too close to the right shoulder. Past 120 the shoulders were getting too close together.
Yep...rural highways back there and then were very nice and very wide. Highways, however, different story! However, when I had a toddler with me, the days of speed were over.
A Monday cali!
Good morning. The laundry is done except for hanging the shirts and making the bed. I may have to put some ice on my knee before the morning gets too far gone. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for when it decides to act up.
Just as I was settling down for the night, the phone rang. The sad thing is that people know I’m “ill” but they don’t know what that means in terms of being able to function.
Today will be focusing on the closets, and when they’re done, then the packing will begin. For real.
Good morning. Kitteh lives in Costa Rica.
I would shut the phone off. People can leave a message.
The weather cleared up last night so that Pat was able to walk home from work. According to his previous schedule, he’s off today, but we’ll have to verify it.
Aw nutz. I was almost ready to send a reply post and hit the wrong keys and lost the entire thing. Balderdash!
I forgot the phone was on vibrate, so even though the phone ringer was off, the vibration in the nightstand drawer woke me up. Another five minutes and I wouldn’t have heard it. He was returning a call I had made to him on Tuesday. Some folks are good at returning calls, some are not so.
Our low is supposed to be 52° with a high of 87°. Chilly. I’m glad I have thermal shirts...
70s and humid here. I feel moldy.
I suppose I need to get used to humidity because AR is going to be just like MO, with air you could drink and water you couldn’t. The worst place for that we ever lived was VA. But I’ll survive because A/C.
Now I need to hang the shirts. I took time out for some tea and now I need to get to work on what’s next.
There was an email from my cousin in OR. It seems he’s been too brainwashed to leave during the Covid thing, and he really looks forward to my emails. He said. Just. Wow.
If sending someone an email helps him, then great!
I’m sure Arkansas has perfectly good local water systems ;-).
Oh, look: there’s some daylight!
It looks like it are Monday. It will be a strange one because the City has the day off, but we don’t.
Happy Columbus Day!
The library is closed, and I assume the Post Office is as well. Happy Columbus Day!
OK, this is a good one. A columnist is describing her life trying to navigate the school arrangements for her kids in NYC. “It’s like putting socks on a rooster.”
I wonder if she’s ever done that.
Folksiness Fail.
Yepper. I just told him to feel free to email any time with any and all questions. He told me something that was a little surprising, but not really, and that was that my paternal aunt had a “liason” with a boy in Montana when she was a teen that resulted in this cousin being the grandson of someone he had no clue existed. So my Real Brother was not the only love child in the family!
I wish daylight would show up here. From the time the minutes start getting shaved off the daylight in June until they’ve begun to be added in December, I can feel the depression start to creep in around the corners. Opening the blinds doesn’t work when the sun won’t be up for two hours...
Happy Columbus Monday! And it’s here on the day its supposed to be, too!
I used to work on holidays so at least one co-worker could be with his/her family. Besides: I like the double-time-and-a-half. ;o])
I have a couple of family members and some friends who like chickens and every once in a while one of them will post some video clips of chickens in pants. I have no idea who thought of it, but the first time I saw one, I almost ROTFLOL! And laughed every time I thought of it for the next two days. (It doesn’t take much to keep me happy.)
My experience with chickens has been minimal.
I just offered Vlad a trip to Andorra if he becomes a National Merit Scholarship finalist and I live through Patrick (and James, unnngh) Driving Adventures.
When do James and James start their Driving Adventures?
Where is Andorra?
It’s getting light outside!
She lives in NYC. It seems reasonable.
It’s still a good image of something that would be really, really hard to do.
Andorra is near Spain. James and James may start driving next year. We’ll have to check the regulations.
