A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
It seems more appealing as the Pat Driving Adventures continue.
I’m afraid the people I’ve talked to who have had knee replacement surgery have had nothing but trouble with it. I don’t want to be laid up when I have so much to do between now and the time I move. I cannot pack while on crutches or in a knee brace.
If the pain was constant and severe, it may be a different story, but mine is moderate and intermittent. But then, I’ve lived in pain of some kind since I was 14, so I’m more inclined to see it as a nuisance, for now.
Perhaps, when I get to AR, I’ll reconsider, but for now, no. I’ll take the steroid injections and then the cartilage injection if the steroids are no longer viable. The next couple of months are going to be very busy and I need to be able to bend and stoop and recover.
Yes, yes...
I’m familiar with the feeling of “STAAAAAAAP, Dammit!”
Nausea is keeping me up, this time, as is my mind, racing through the packing and the moving... I need to put a notebook and pen by my bed so I can write this stuff down and get rid of it before I wake up too much.
Look at that cute little squeeful, floofy face!! Makes me want a kitty!
Good morning.
The shower has been had, the tea has been had, and I’ll start on the USPS stuff in a few minutes. Then, who knows? I need to get packing paper and tape. ASAP!
Today will be boringly mundane in the packing world.
Well, crikey.
The USPS page isn’t loading, so that part of Today’s Plan is on the shelf for a while. *sigh*
So I guess I’ll just have to fall back and regroup.
What’s something you rarely use, that you could put at the top of your packing list?
Happy Wednesday, everyone.
Don’t worry, Kitteh. We won’t let Wednesday get you.
My rule of thumb when moving is this: If it hasn’t been used in three months, it will be sold, donated, given to a friend or trashed. The problem with the last move was that I had been packed for three years before I moved here, so I brought things I didn’t need. But that was not by choice and I won’t do that again.
My household belongings will consist of one 16’ U-Haul truck and a car hauler with the BB SUV on it, also packed with some household things. I’m not going to take any more with me than I have to.
My Favorite Son will fly out to help load and will drive the truck with me as the Navigator. Parts of the move are already planned and done. The rest is up to me.
One day at a time.
Meanwhile, it’s time for Henry IV, whose days were a lot tougher than mine, I must say, what with everyone’s trying to kill him all the time. On the other hand, he didn’t have Pat Driving Adventures.
Happy Wednesday, ArGee!
Did the bird nest problem get taken care of?
How is Puppy this morning.
Everyone is fine this morning.
The apartment people didn’t find the nest where they expected to, although they did find some nest materials. Apparently there was access to some pipe that they didn’t search. They reduced the access significantly and hope that will take care of the problem.
So do I.
Best wishes with that!!
Cheated Death Again: Gotta Have Shoes!
We bought Pat one pair of black Vans, and an identical one was 1/2 off and being shipped here, free, and the other lady in line let us use her $10 e-coupon.
I looked in Target for a few minutes, and Pat got a drink at the Starbucks in there, and he was talking to a Girl! Intelligibly! (About being a low-wage worker ;-).
If I want really good shoes, I have to find them on sale because I can’t afford them otherwise! Good on ya for getting a 1/2 off and a $10 e-coupon!
I had a small slice of lasagna for lunch. It was leftover and now there’s a slice about twice the size that I’ll fix on another day, when I’ve lost more weight. For now, I’ll have to settle for a very small piece.
Now, I think, since I picked up two storage tubs yesterday, I’ll pack them with the things that I’ll only put in the tubs — yarns. Then maybe I’ll go out and bring the water in, and put a box of donations in the truck so I can take them to St Paul’s tomorrow. A few more things to be put in a few more places and maybe I can clean the rug on Saturday. I WILL get through this...
I had a nap with a cat. Now I’m going to make more Jeopardy games (forestry vocabulary) until it’s time to take Pat to work.
I wish I could have had a nap, but I need to make sure I can sleep tonight.
I saw Chuck drive in and sent him a text, asking for a brief meeting. I told him of the results of the letter and he had mixed emotions about my move, but was glad for me. He also said he bought a convection oven for his wife so she can make cookies. It would seem they want to open a cookie store with a drive-up window.
In the meantime, I packed two containers and could have done more if I’d had them. Needless to say, I’m almost ready for bed, so since tomorrow is another day, (and if it isn’t, it doesn’t matter, anyway) I think it’s time for me to head down the hall.
Tomorrow, then...
I hope you have a great night. I finished the forestry vocabulary. I guess I could start Wildlife Vocabulary ...
Does any of you know what the boys did with the key to the cabinet in the Dragon Room? We need to use the hole-punch!
DP may be able to use a small Allen wrench and a pair of pliers to unlock the cabinet.
As for the key, is it in with the Monopoly tokens?
