I have a fair share, although I’ve surrendered some of them due to the critical mass of weirdness from other household residents.

Perhaps other household residents’ weirdness can equal your own. At least, as long as I’m not there, and then I believe I’ll have them all trumped! ;o])

Of course, I’m trumped by my Favorite Daughter who thinks stinky feet smell like popcorn and skunks smell like lemons...

Slow cooking pork ribs this afternoon. Should I take off the membrane or not?

Tom’s laundry smells like cilantro and Sally’s smells like artificial maple syrup flavoring.

Country ribs? Regular? Are you cooking them as a rack or individually? I’ve found that the membrane shrinks during slow cooking and I don’t like to cook full racks because of that. I usually cut them into serving-size sections because of the shrinkage.

Crikey. I’ve never liked cilantro but I won’t buy anything but pure maple syrup in the future! LOL!

The artificial flavoring is fenugreek. No idea why that was the odor of Sally’s laundry. The cilantro is explained by Tom’s working at a Mexican-themed restaurant.

Not country ribs, I slow cooked those the other night in a dutch oven (really good). These are bone-in ribs like in the picture below.

I purchase a "share" of frozen meats from local farms that are delivered to me once a month in dry ice. So I get pretty much all the cuts of meat.

There may be a way to remove the membrane, but if there is, it’s probably more trouble than its worth, which is why I always cut them into serving portions.

If you’re not in a hurry to cook them, you might ask the local farms co-op (the folks you got them from) about the membrane. Are you doing them outside on a grill? (Or inside on a pseudo-grill?) If they’re baby-backs, the membrane won’t be too tough so you probably don’t have to worry about removal.

This is what I'm using today for the ribs. Recently moved to condo so no longer have grill. I cooked on Weber grills for decades. But I'm learning I can get things cooked just as well indoors with the right tools and techniques.

So your condo will make the neighbors want a lunch invitation! Go YOU!! I love cooking ribs indoors!

I’d ask for an invitation, but I have left-over pot roast to dispose of. ;o]

Afternoon. Mass went tolerably well, for not having practiced or said anything in Spanish for almost two weeks.

I got up feeling tired (feeling rested after a night’s sleep isn’t in ‘Face’s Rulebook) but laid out clothes for church, anyway. *sigh* I didn’t make it. Maybe if we had been on the 0900 schedule, it would have happened, but we’re 1030 this year and 1300 next year, so I’ll be going to the 0900 session for all of 2021.

Maybe I’ll have moved to AR by 2022... ;o]

Confusing, but I’m sorry you didn’t feel well enough for church today. Maybe next week. I fell asleep for a while after church. I get it about not feeling rested.

We rotate times every year so that not everyone has to go to the early session or the late session. Last year, we were the 0900 bunch, this year its 1030, and next year it will be 1300.

Lack of stamina dictates that I not go to the 1300 so that I’m not sick for the next week. I’ve learned the hard way not to push my body beyond the limits it has set for me. So I go at 0900 and 1030, and there may come a day when I can’t make it to the 1030. As long as I go...

If I stick to my schedule, I function like a normal person. Deviations are disastrous for me as the trip to CO proved.

Good morning.

The laundry is done, complete with hanging up, so the next business is to take my BP around 0600 so I don’t have to scare the little girls in the doctor’s office with White Coat Syndrome. Then, at 0830 is that appointment, and all its for is to get a new prescription.

Then home. With any luck, your shawl will be finished before I go! So if there’s enough money in the stamps.com account, I’ll mail it today. If not, I’ll mail it as soon as I have enough in there. They sent me two coupons for $10 each for stamps, and I’m waiting for them to be added. Any day now, I hope!

Good morning. Your energy at this hour on a Monday is an inspiration! I hope your outings are a success today.

I’ll have to take a Pat Driving Adventure later ... but not yet. He’s still asleep.

I’ve learned that the mushroom-growing kit came from Elen, USMC.
