A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Yes, beets are one of my favorite vegetables. I’ve loved them from the time I was a short person. But I hadn’t had beet greens, with or without bacon until I was in my mid 20s.
And now, for the shower. I made the mistake of opening FB and my mail to see if there were any announcements about church, but no... so now, I’m off to get wet. And warm for a few minutes.
I’ll have a shower before we leave on the trip. That will reduce the crowd needing to take showers tonight!
I won’t get nearly as dirty moving in to a rental house as setting up tents and stuff.
So this is the vacation house and not the tents in the Wild of Beyond?
Excellent! WiFi can be had!
W00t!!
Late, but still... ;o])
Yes, there will be Interwebs. Trips in October will be camping in the far reaches of electron-free outdoorsiness.
This is good news.
Is there a Cheat Death Again Event today?
I hate when I get up so late! My first tea dose is delayed by as much as five hours because it has to be taken at least an hour before or after meals, and with my hypoglycemia, the meal/snack schedule is approximately four hours. BUT. The morphine is six hours and I usually have Second Breakfast with it.
I just found this on one of my FB feeds.
“One of the only birds that will peck at an eagle is the crow. He sits on his back and bites his neck. The eagle does not respond or fight with the crow, it doesn’t waste time or energy on the crow.
“It simply opens its wings and begins to rise higher in the sky. The higher the flight, the harder it is for the crow to breathe and then the crow falls due to lack of oxygen.
“Stop wasting your time with the crows, just rise to your highest potential and they’ll fade.”
That was thought-provoking.
No Pat Driving Adventure today. We’re trying, amidst the usual alarums, excursions, and bad language, to get everyone who’s going on the trip out the door with the appropriate items.
Yes, it was very thought-provoking. Which is why I posted it here, since you don’t do FB. It’s OK, because I can either copy and paste a comment like this, or a photo and send it in email. Only if I think it would interest you, of course!
Now, I’m going to go say my prayer and wish you Godspeed. Later.
I super loved that bat picture.
As did salamander, who is on FB.
There is good news of sorts. The little shredded paper thingy for Camilla should be here in the next few days, so that should ease some of her anxiety and boredom. And the string thingy should follow shortly behind it.
I hope it all makes Camilla happier.
I’m forcing the young parties to eat some lunch before we leave, because I refuse to stop for a meal. You never get where you’re going if you stop.
I just want to stop Camilla from reinforcing some bad habits, and the best way to do that is to distract her. She’ll be a good bird when she has settled down some of her annoying habits.
When I drive anywhere, I only stop for gas. I will take a sandwich or two and a bottle of water, because I don’t want to buy gas station “food,” and I don’t want to pull off into a town or city to a fast-food place. That takes up too much driving time. So I’m with you - eat and make your pit stops before we leave!!
We are going to leave now. I’ll let you know when we arrive; should be 2-ish your time.
The older you get, (and I suppose the younger you are as well), the more pit stops become a celebration within a journey rather than an interruption of it.
Thanks! Safe journey, and watch out for the Other Guy!
It’s good to know you feel that way, but in this, like so many other things, the older I get, the more I find I don’t want to take the time for pit stops. Of course, some journeys dictate that pit stops are a necessity, but I prefer to take shorter trips to avoid the pit stop until the destination.
I never wanted to be my mother, but there it is! :o])
Good morning. I might be able to post a kittens later, when Tom’s PC is on. He has a class this morning.
Good morning. The laundry is done, and the sleep shirts are waiting to be hung up.
The frog stickers were waiting for me in the mailbox, and that was all except for junk mail and a catalog of yarns that are far too expensive for me to even think about.
Because of the problems I’ve had the last few nights, I decided to set my alarm this morning, and its a good thing I did, or I might still be sleeping.
So what’s on the docket for today? Any excursions planned?
Beach is planned for this morning. After that, I don’t know what.
