A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Time flies, except when it creeps.
James and Vlad are full-time staff this year. Pat didn’t want to, which is fine, but I’m forcing him to be Adult Staff for day camp, which will be August 3 to 7 unless they don’t hold it.
I hope you have a great night! I wrote some letters to church acquaintances I haven’t seen in months. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. I do more tomorrow.
I slept in. Again. Now I need to go shower and try to wake up.
I was reading a very interesting article on a bone hormone that could one day reverse the effects of bone loss and mental decline in older people, as well as affect the symptoms of diabetes in a good way, and then the author went political. That’s when I stopped reading. *gah* I don’t know how it ends.
Good morning. I slept in, too.
Morning Floof wants to know why we got up. It’s clearly naptime!
Today, Iill either bind a story of get the Dragon to help me dictate one. Then I need to write a letter to St George to tell them I’m not interested. So there. They were just about four years too late with the offer.
Now for some tea. I almost forgot it yesterday, but I’m on the downhill pull with it, only having eight days to go, this round. One thing I’ve learned is that the pills and the tea bags aren’t as effective as the liquid.
Good morning. Things are getting started slowly here, but the cats and birds and I are up. Jake keeps going in and out.
I have to do, like, stuff today.
I got a card in yesterday’s mail, and picked it up this morning. I think it’s the same card I sent yesterday... LOL!! Great minds!
So I guess I’ll postpone Other Things and write a letter, since nothing is really time-sensitive. Later, I’ll look for the coils so I can bind a personal history.
Sending a card is philosophically distinct from receiving the same card.
I wrote three more last night to church friends. I need to look up their addresses on the parish website now.
Maybe they’ll buy things from Ms. Dahms, who is so talented and good-natured!
I guess the shortest cards I write are thank-you cards, and I somehow don’t think of adding a letter to them, preferring instead to use an extra stamp. My bad. About the only time I use cards is when I first move into a place to let people know I’m OK, and am waiting for the interwebs to be installed.
Waiting for the dawn to show up... :o|
On the Sharing Table, I found the second volume of a book series that the late Old Deaf June gave me probably 12 years ago. Right now, I’m trying to wade through “The Dead Sea Scrolls,” and last night, I realized that I actually understood what I was reading! Now all I need is the “Nag Hammadi Texts.”
Some written things are very difficult to understand, including directions, so I have to be careful with reading. I can read for several pages and not remember the last sentence, let alone what the book was about.

Good morning. Happy humph day! Humph!
Sleeping in to 5 is the new normal. Eileigh gets up and looks at me from her playpen around 5. I manage to get her out twice before I “start” work at 7:30. That and showering makes me almost feel productive.
I like that!!
Good morning, she croaks.
I know exactly how you feel! Happy humph day to you, as well. ;o]
Good morning again. Back from walks. Looked up addresses to mail the cards. Now I need to schedule the boys’ health exams for camp.
I got about a page and a half written in one letter and just gave up. Maybe I’ll still get it ready to mail out today, anyway, because things happen.
I think I need a new brain.
Brains are overrated.
Got the boys’ appointments. We’ll leave at 10 and be home for lunch, but I’d better cut up some apples just in case!
The must be. I seem to lose mine periodically.
Good luck on your outing with the byos.
*tagline*
I was glad I had the apples, but everything was accomplished successfully. James and Vlad, as expected, are more than sufficiently healthy to be Webelos camp staff.
That’s good news! I’m glad they’re thriving and fit to camp staff. It should keep them out of trouble for a few days, or weeks. ;o]
