A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Congratulations on the reopening of your library!
And your story encourages me to believe that my friend’s son can turn his life around. He was probably telling himself that his parents were just old-fashioned, thinking drug use can have bad outcomes ...
Drugs are a choice. That choice begins with the first time they try it. They can choose to overcome it. That’s a lot harder than choosing to do it in the first place, but if one WANTS to overcome it, they can and they will.
Life is nothing more than a series of choices. Every. Single. Day. All of us make choices, and most days, we don’t even realize we’re doing it.
It's dangerous out there: you'd better take this!
In other news, Bill the Son has been laid off from the advertising agency. The upside is that he can come on a camping trip with us, the week of May 3, and he was already planning to move in with Anoreth when his lease is up (end of May?) to put himself in a better position to relocate.
He’s a thrifty boy with a college degree and a good work history; he’ll be fine.
I’d like to put that in a little pouch and take it to Wally’s with me this morning! What a precious little face! And the markings on it are amazing!
Good morning.
The pills have been sorted, the grocery list has been made (four days ago) and when I went over to check my mail (no bat cards this time) someone had left a couple of packets of yeast, some glass plates, a vegetable peeler and a file folder. I took a packet of yeast and the file folder and in return placed a box of brownie mix and a largish plastic container.
I realized after I bought the latter that with the neuropathy in my fingertips, I need something a little more substantial, so I know (deep in my brain) that I have a good hold on it. I broke a lot of things before I realized that CFIDS produced peripheral neuropathy.
So now, I need to make an entry in my CFIDS log.
Usually, when one door closes, another will open. The key to success is watching for that new door. I’m sure Bill is going to take advantage of the time given to him to put out feelers, and look for those doors. I have every confidence in the world in nine of your children. ;o] </sarc
I have the door open a little bit because when I came back from getting yesterday’s mail, the place had “that” smell that leads me to believe the place is mold-ridden.
For my health, I hope it isn’t too long before I hear from St George.
I hope you hear from them, too. It would be useful if you could move before it’s winter again, although it seems to be winter there all the time.
Had I known how rainy and wet it was going to be here, I would have moved, anyway, because I had to get away. Period. I just couldn’t take a chance on staying where I was and falling deeper into depression.
Knowing that this little hidden valley is just over the ridge from sunshine makes it all worth while. So I just do what I do and the days pass. I don’t spend as much time outside as I did in Henderson because its not warm enough early enough in the day for me to enjoy the heat.
But soon... I’ll try to call St George this week and see where I am on the Wait List. When I get to #5, I’ll start packing books!
Moving was the right choice, even though you ended up in a rainy desert.
Yes, it was, and I would do it again if presented with the same choices.
Rain again today, and all day. Rain last night and the night before. *sigh* I have umbrellas all over the place. One in the truck, one in my back pack and two in the house, just in case I have to loan one.
Back from Walmart in the rain. I think I’ll never be warm or dry again. :o|
It’s getting warmer here. I’m thinking of going to Dollar General!
Rain, here... wet rain. Gray wet rain. With stiff, achy things in it.
It always made sense to me that one should begin every shopping expedition with a stop at the dollar store.
With a fresh supply of dollars how can you go wrong?
Enjoy Dollar General! Utah is phasing out all its stores.
Not my favorite store. Things cost more than at Dollar Tree!
However, they did have the thing. I’ve boxed it up, and I’ll mail it in the next few days.
The New Asia Market, next to the Dollar General, had a security guard, all in black, wearing a riot-police helmet, taking people’s temperatures before they were allowed in. I decided I didn’t need to look at unusual vegetables today.
Whoa!! Awesome!
I prefer Dollar Tree, myself. I like that I can get cards for 50¢! :o])
In other news, my trip to the library was successful and the first DVD I’m going to put in is “The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency!” YAY!! DVDs again!
But I would have to put a tiny face mask on him.
Maybe the guard outside the New Asia Market was more to deter people from threatening the shop owner and employees/family members.
She’ll tear your arm off if you try that.
That could be part of it ... but there’s the temperature-taking as well.
