I have a relative coming in from another state to stay with me. I am at risk and have been isolated. How do I introduce him into the home, 2 week quarantine? In Garage? Cannot find a camper. Ideas??
I have no real way to have him come into the house and quarantine from me. There are no options. Live in northern new England.
I have a two car garage attached to the house, but it is cold and drafty.
I thought of borrowing a big tent and putting it in the garage to give it some space, and room.
cannot find a camper to borrow or rent.
cannot afford to purchase one
Ideas would be appreciated.

Tell him up front and let him decide what to do.

Have him tested, if tests are available in your area , and if he’s negative, invite him in.

Don't shave or bathe for a couple of days, wrap yourself in a blanket and be slow answering the door. Cough profusely. They should get the message pretty quickly and find another place to stay.

Pay for a hotel. Use Skype. Have a nice day!
My wife's brother and his wife were supposed to visit us in TX from CA a week from tomorrow. My wife held her ground and told them not to come. My BIL is stubborn enough that even with all of the news since agreeing to not come, they would have flown here. I get that they haven't seen us since we left CA in Oct 2018, but this is not a good time to fly.
We'll likely see them in early October after much of the Texas summer heat has passed us.

Why is he coming? If hes coming to help you, just accept him the way he is and take all normal precautions (clean clothes, shower immediately, shoes at door) when he comes in.
If hes coming for just a visit, cancel. This isnt the time.

Send him back home. This is no time for random visits.

Youre a very giving and loving relative - God bless you.

Tell him to stay at a hotel. Or cancel. He should not expect you to put him up given the situation.

What did this relative say, when you told him of your risk and situation?
Are you their only place to travel to?

If you let him come, he can’t be going and coming. He needs to stay isolated with you.
Do you have enough supplies for the two of you?
Good luck
