To further add to your point, CDC estimates that this flu season there have been:
38,000,000 54,000,000 flu illnesses
17,000,000 25,000,000flu medical visits
390,000 710,000 flu hospitalizations

Now that’s the smartest thing you’ve said in your entire life. lol
Good try, man, but it doesnt look like the non-flubros are going to let you have your own thread.
A thread that is about as far from what the country needs right now as anything could be.
What are you in, 3rd grade?
Grow up.
Hey, it’s only for fun. And may mushrooms always grow on your front lawn, a sign of beauty!
Why? Theyre not overloaded.
Ok, how many locations are at that point right now? Tomorrow? Next week?
Is this the daily caucus thread for pastafarians?
Why arent you wearing a spaghetti strainer on your head??
I think I had this kung flu back in January. I suffered the symptoms, the pharmastist told me to use Aleve. I took one Aleve and it was pivotal, like a miracle, fever and aches gone. But the cough lasted a month.
Why do YOU think they are?
Sorry...I am not of the mindset that I must support my government no matter what they do. I believe critical examination of governmental decisions is a good thing.
You must be Pacific Time Zone. It is past my bedtime for banter.
And of those exploding numbers, how many are actually hospitalized, let alone symptomatic?
It will trend down as the test more people who may be infected and not die. Thats the nature of these beasties. I predict at the end it will be about 0.6% of less.
1) R0 for this virus. Flu is estimated at 1.4 but Coronavirus anywhere from 1.6 all the way up to 4.
Hard to tell because of social distancing (China is crowded, so is New York; Italy crams several generations in one house and is touchy-feely.) 2) And we don't know what all the crowds of kids coming back from Spring Break will do yet.
3) Will the chloroquinone and related drugs help?
That being said, NYC is getting close, they could surpass their open ICU beds later this week: but the President has put the military hospital ship off shore; maybe the ship will take NON-corona sufferers, to open up room. (Think cruise ships, you don't want Coronavirus at sea...)
I didn't hear about the health care system being overwhelmed then.
201920 seasonal flu:

To put it bluntly, some of their actions are typical “CYA” actions.
I believe that President Trump is genuinely concerned, but is getting bad advice. I don’t trust Hitlery’s friend, Dr. Fauci.
Many of the Governors who have taken the most draconian actions are hard leftists, such as Cuomo and Newsome. They would love nothing better than to see our economy collapse and to blame Trump. That scenario would make Trump very vulnerable in the November election.
IMO, it is not worth trashing a previously strong economy for this irrational panic.
Where was this panic during the H1N1 outbreak in 2009? That disease was much deadlier than the China virus. Thousands of Americans died from H1N1. Thankfully, the death rate from the Wuhan Flu has been very low in the US and is trending down.
I mean no offense, but don’t you worry about what the draconian closures of businesses, schools, etc. will do to the economy?
I worry more about the economy than the Wuhan Flu.
Unitarians?
That sounds like some tripe those kooks would say.
