According to Rand Paul's Facebook page he has tested positive for covid 19.
I am going to disagree with most here on this.
I think World Leaders and politicians absolutely need to be tested..as do those around Trump.
As for Hollywood??? Forget it
Congress is the one that writes the laws and is going to authorize spending to deal with this crisis.. We dont want them on ventilators. They are an important part of our government..even though I would like a lot of them to lose in the next election

He wasn’t voting when he was symptomatic this week? All of the Senate needs to go in quarantine.
Testing doesn’t prevent contracting the disease, and it does nothing to deal with the symptoms.

At any rate, if these people are so all fired important, and we can;t risk them being infected, then THEY need to be put into a bubble. No travel for THEM. Bring them their food, drinks and other needs.

Normal people have to jump through hoops to get tested, and wonder if they will die before they get their test results.

As a prophylactic, probably not. But now that he has tested positive he likely has even though he is asymptomatIc. I’m sure he reads the literature and is not stupid.

I’m on board. We go through a lot of effort to select people who represent us and then put them in jobs that put them at much higher risk than ourselves (ask any conservative about the death threats they get, not to mention softball shootings and trains being sabotaged). They deserve higher-level protection than others, and at government expense.
