Daily thread #23 here:

That’s good news about animal shelters. I was so very worried people would be dumping their pets.
At this point in the game, my only concern is that we don’t allow our number of serious cases to overrun our current supply of the antivirals before we can start seriously manufacturing that in ‘mass quantities’.
And this doesn’t mutate around that compound.
That would be a disaster.
I feel for the caterpillar people. One of their biggest markets IIRC was China. Regardless of what happens here, they’re going to hurt from that alone.
Let’s pray we have a huge economic bounce here this summer/fall when this is all over but the shouting that they make up the slack.
Yes, it is great news since Washington state had patient zero on January 20 and we have just crested two months.
She appears to be suffering along with the pain of the people of planet Earth. Lol.
Yes, far too, too broad.
Trump is sounding old and tired.
“The extremely low recovered numbers are worrisome - 29 for the entire US”
It’s the same for the rest of the world with large outbreaks, except China and Iran (wonder why). It takes forever to get over it. Of the 20% serious cases, the weak die fast, the rest linger in misery and then many die as well.
That’s why the CFR numbers are so scary to some and they have to conflate the DCR with it to feel better or minimize the danger. But the DCR still has a lot of people that will die being counted as survivors because they simply haven’t gotten around to dying, yet. Eventually the two converge but we won’t know for a while what the final numbers will be.
Why has FEMA not sent out all those medical supplies until now?
“At the beach and Costco. And you?”
Proud spreader that you are.
I don’t think too many people looked at your link. Lancet is saying a fatality rate of almost 6%, is that correct?
Let me ask Doctor X if it’s been considered.
We have just reached over 1,000 reported COVID-19 cases in Florida, per
@HealthyFla
s 6 p.m. update.
Yesterday, we had 763.
A day before, we had 563.

Peter Navarro - WH trades and manufacturing dude is hustling.
“NY - tops 9000 per FNC”
Cuomo and de Blasio will hang.
Italy’s numbers can no longer be trusted. Italian hospitals have invaded by PLA doctors and nurses and the numbers have changed from those who died from Wuhan Virus to shifting the death onto pre-existing causes, CCP style.
The truth is, those with pre-existing conditions were alive and would have remained alive except for Wuhan Virus.
Get the chicoms out of Italy!
Agreed—he sounded like he was ready to step up..and smart enough to get results.
I was just thinking the same thing.
THAT’s why China offered to ‘help’ Italy.
I guess I can go to Italy and shoot a 90yr old with heart failure. I mean, they were 90 with heart failure. The bullet didn’t kill them, obviously. They were gonna die anyways. I’m innocent!
“There are only bad plans.”
Nay.
There are worse plans too.
We are deep into the fog of war at this point...
a little video that is easy to understand

Thanks! I've been trying to find detailed data for the states. The JHU data is detailed enough but numbers seem inaccurate.
It's important to note that the only real data points we have are actual recorded deaths.
Totally agree. The numbers also offer the fastest indicator of how well we're doing in the fight.
For people like me, it tells me this crisis is already over. I don't see how we could even hit 50k deaths over the next 4-8 weeks, unless everything that's been experienced/recorded so far was either grossly in error, or there's some kind of 2nd stage CV follow up that goes batshit crazy.
I'm hopeful that new treatments that have been found to work, will drastically lower the death rate. But I remain watchful and guardedly optimistic. And as someone pointed out to me earlier, even if the death rate falls, if the healthcare system is inundated, deaths from other ailments will rise because of the lack of appropriate care.
Finally you have the economic, civil unrest, and country against country ball rolling downhill, gaining momentum. Who knows how far down the slope it will travel.
