CNN’s Anderson Cooper appeared to downplay the novel coronavirus on-air March 4, telling viewers that they “should be more concerned about the flu.”...Cooper told viewers that the flu is deadlier than the novel coronavirus and urged people to be more worried about that...Cooper has since decided to anchor his show from home because of the novel coronavirus. He broadcasted from home Friday evening.

Congratulations, you are living in fantasy land! In the Seattle area 40% of people are currently out of work. In Tacoma for the first time since WWII the Daffodil Parade has been canceled, the farmers who put a lot of money into producing daffodils will lose their shirts. Thousands of small businesses, the backbone of our economy are going under. Goldman Sachs and other investment banking organizations estimate shutting down the country over this nonsense will result in negative 30% GDP growth in the USA this year. Over $20 trillion dollars of investor's money have been lost. State, local and the federal government will be spending trillions of dollars that is basically just being made up out of nothing. Do you understand what it does to nations who do that? You are the worst kind of koolaid drinker.

I understand why this panic was intentionally created... and it was not about the number of people who are going to get sick and die. This year is not going to come close to even the 2017-18 flu season in actual deaths. There are viruses and bacteria that have as much potential and more for causing havoc. The media and the Democrats started a worldwide panic that will result in ten times as much damage as this virus because they have no candidate that can match President Trump. So they pushed over the dominoes that started this chain reaction. President Trump had two choices, commit political suicide by trying to stand in the way of the avalanche or get out ahead of it and beat them at their own game.

Do I dismiss this illness as nothing? Of course not! We live in Eastern King County Washington where going to Costco often makes you feel like you are living in a foreign country. We are now surrounded by a huge community of recent arrivals from China. Many of them went back home for Chinese New Year. Most of them made it back before the travel ban went into effect, but over 10,000 were forced to come back through Vancouver International instead of SeaTac and take a 3 hour bus ride or have acquaintances or family come pick them up. This virus has been going through our community for the past 3 months. It was unnoticed until it hit a vulnerable population at the Life Care Center in Kirkland where my wife and I both have volunteered and been paid to work for years.

I was one of the first on this forum to say that this thing was not a hoax and was real, because I have seen what it has done up close and personal. And I took a lot of static for it about a month ago. But the reaction has now gotten completely out of hand. And real permanent damage is being done to our economy at this point by our political leaders. And basically just printing money is not going to get us out of the mess that is being created.
