I guess I am the type as well, for the facts are at this point in time the flu id still a deadlier virus by a factor or 10 to 20 to 1. Never said that that couldn't change. Only time will tell who is right and who is wrong. Either way, they are both deadly. Just because the cases are increasing in big numbers, is because testing has finally started.

Deaths currently reported are 13,068 or 13,072 depending on the site you look at, worldwide. The CDC estimates flu deaths in just this country are between 23,000 - 59,000 in the 2019-2020 flu season. In the United States, the flu season is considered October through May.

How much TP does a pooper need to have on hand?

1. There were no quarantines or other restrictions implemented for stopping the flu, and we’re not likely to drop all restrictions to find out how many people the coronavirus epidemic can kill.

2. The new coronavirus epidemic isn’t done, yet.

When this thing fizzles out after the actions of the government have completely trashed the economy... Anderson Cooper and company will be saying that they told us so.

The end of the line—zero-— just make sure to take a shower with plenty of soap after every visit to the pooper.

Neither is the flu. But that have been reports out of Australia that bring positive hope that existing drugs, one of them was one that our president touted in the news conference the other day have past a clinical tests, where all patients recovered. They are going forward with these 2 drugs. I suspect we will follow suit very soon.

Well in reality our economy is not trashed, as you claim, and Australia is reporting that 2 drugs were tried on patients, all recovered, and they are moving forward with these existing drugs. It’s posted here on the board. One of the drugs was one that our president mentioned in the press conference, either yesterday or the day before. I suspect we will be going forward with them soon ourselves. The economy will roar back and in reality no damage will have been done at all to our economy at all.

I suspect the anti Trump forces were so afraid of Trump they were willing to pound the pandemic fear reaction fad to trash the economy and Trump.

Looks like they may have failed to get Trump again.

But there is a cost with this one.

It has to be whatever they are doing under the table with the complicity of the media is at stake.

Agreed on the economy. After some study a few weeks ago, I saw a likelihood that temperatures above 80 F and higher sun angles (more UV) will slow it down enough. Then investments will go back into busy economic activity.

Many people with economic influence are socially confused and neurotic in recent years, but most economically influential people have much more faith in President Trump and his people to make ways for their investments to be put to work and growing.

Warm weather and sunlight will kill coronaviruses including SARS-CoV-2 (the COVID-19 virus). Will it come back from the Southern Hemisphere in the fall? Maybe, but we can be more ready for it in several ways.

Actually, this demonstrates how little we knew about the Wuhan Virus in the first months. China did not share much and it can spread faster and be more deadly than the seasonal flu.

Trump eliminated some of the overlapping bureaucracy and department infighting that takes place during these times.

Trump engaged the private sector and we have a very rapid response for something we knew nothing about 90 days ago.

Neither is the flu epidemic. And it kills far more.

1. There is no credible way to determine the comparative lethality between the flu and Covid-19. The data simply does not exist from what I can tell.
2. According to the CDC, the preponderance of flu since the beginning of the 80s occurs from December to March. If I remember correctly, last year’s record flu season lasted five months, but that was unusual.
