As of Saturday, Louisiana was reporting nearly 600 confirmed cases of COVID-19, one of the highest numbers in the country. Sixteen people had died. The majority of cases are in New Orleans, which now has one confirmed case for every 1,000 residents. New Orleans had held Mardi Gras celebrations just two weeks before its first patient, with more than a million revelers on its streets.

The stat’s from Italy are the deaths are occurring at a median age of 80
There were three of them in our hospital.

COPD - Chronic obstructive Pulmonary Disease is not always caused by being a smoker. I have COPD and never smoked a day in my life. History of getting bronchitis alot as a youngster.
Vast majority of us will catch it sooner or later not matter what we do.
And for the vast majority of us, it will be minor.

How many and from where? Bottom line is nobody can hide or manufacture the dead. Right now I am looking at 297 dead - with as far as I know... or anyone else knows - with an average age around 80. Are we to collapse our economy and have 10 times the suicides over this virus?

They could not answer them. They would direct you to the DPH in your state.
That is my wife’s healthcare systems response. Nationally.
There are Hippa violations involved, and there is no reason to provide that information, on a daily basis. They already report it to the state. They honestly have better things to do with their time. The DPH should be compiling it from their area and making it public.
Reporting that stuff, the number of inpatients, and bed availability would evoke panic. And the flubros don’t want panic, remember.
