At the very least we know the Red Chinese Government did its best to hide the existence and seriousness of the virus until it had a really good, devastating hold on the rest of the world, the US included. This would be regarded as gross recklessness in an ordinary situation between private citizens here. Given the presence of China’s only Class IV biolab in Wuhan and the regime’s compulsive concealment of the virus, the legitimate question arises of whether they deliberately cooked it up and released it on us and the rest of the world. I would guess the initial release was accidental - but once the CCP realized they could not stop the outbreak they made sure that potential spreaders had time travel to potential enemy nations in an unrestricted manner. They had no intention of suffering this hit by themselves.
