Jeremy Lin rips Trump for ‘empowering’ racism with talk of ‘Chinese Virus’
President Trump said Wednesday that his use of the term “Chinese Virus” was “not racist at all.” Among those who might strongly take issue with that assertion would be Jeremy Lin, given his criticism of the president on Tuesday.
Lin, a California native of Taiwanese descent who last year became the first Asian American player to help a team win an NBA title as a member of the Toronto Raptors, posted several tweets accusing Trump of “empowering” racism by using the term and saying the president was contributing to a menacing climate for Asian Americans in the wake of the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Democrats use the term racist against white people when they don’t agree with them and usually it is not even because the white person is racist. But they fail to use the word RACIST against blacks, Asians, or Mexicans when those groups are being racists.
Hmmmmm....Does anyone recall any of the democrat not news stations referring to the Jussie Smollett case as Jussie being racist against all whites by lying and saying white people had done a terrible crime against him ONLY to find out it was done by HIM and two black brothers?
I don’t recall the word racist being used when it SHOULD have been used against black Jussie and the two black brothers.
Just because I think Jussie and the two black brothers involved in the crime were racist does not make me dislike all black people. I have good friends of every race.
It is not one’s color of skin that makes a person racist. It is their actions, words, and beliefs.

I wish Trump would have used the phrase, “ChiCom virus”.

I am so over the NBA. For de Blasio it was their bigfooting it to the front of the testing line.
For me it is their China coddling and genuflecting and stifling the official who supported the Hong Kong protests and LeBron lecturing us about it all.
I think our wise POTUS is using the “Chinese virus” for three key reasons:
1. China deserves to be “ridiculed” for its deception that is costing the whole world trouble and widespread deaths.
2. Trump knows that the Fake News will criticize him for saying “Chinese virus”, but that’s good because discussing that issue causes people to think and realize how irresponsible the Chinese really are.
3. It gets Deplorables angry defending his use of “Chinese virus” and therefore fires up his base and does damage to the Fake News, further pointing attention to what the Chinese did. Exhibit A: this thread...
