Just a simple prayer request for family.
Dad's (91) death was expected last year after a few years of dementia decline. Mom's (88) death was sort of a shock, even though her heart was weak. She was very clear minded and engaging. She told my sister last week she was dreading the anniversary of Dad's death. Like so many couples, they were very close.
It's not uncommon for grief to reunite couples.
Both were very strong Christians.

Heavenly Father, We are grateful that we have such a site as FreeRepublic to come corporately before Your throne asking for prayer for those in need. We ask, Father God, that You will provide peace and comfort for this grieving family and friends. Let this be a time of testimony for those who may not know You as their personal Savior. In Jesus Name, Amen
Remember, Jesus is already in your tomorrows. It is reassuring to know that Christians never say goodbye. I lost both of my parents in one year. My mother in January and Father in December. Both loved the Lord, both were World War II Veterans. Hold to your precious memories. . . giving God praise and glory.
Condolences.
Glad they have a strong testimony.
Wonderful that we have such a hope in the walking out of our salvation.
Regards

From “On Borrowed Time”, starring Lionel Barrymore. It always gets me as he and little Pud are crossing the bridge, at the end.
When people love each other they long to be together. Now they will spend eternity together. Prayers for the comfort of the family, think of the joy of their reunion.
Praise God, Maudeen. Thank you.

Take comfort that she had a good life and finally decided she's rather be with God and her restored husband.
Thanks, trebb. I agree.
Hope your family takes comfort in His love and fond memories.
It sucks to be an orphan. I know the feeling.

Fellow old timer, prayers for you and yours. My folks went in similar age and conditions in 2008. My Dads last words when asked what he wanted as he struggled with stroke limited speech were, My wife.
Condolences and prayers to you on the loss of your mother. May she rest in peace.
