Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer said Wednesday that his wife has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Fischer made the announcement during his daily briefing, which hes been making via video because hes been in isolation for several days.
His wife, Dr. Alex Gerassimides, is a pediatric pathologist.
This story will be updated.
So, just to be safe, he’ll be sheltering in place with his secretary.
Just got a update from VA on it with a list of VA hospitals that has at least one case . Total of 44 first i heard of that
Any theories on why so many high profile people are getting this, when it’s so rare in the general population? I mean Actors, athletes, and politicians.
Because its not rare in the general population.
Because they can get a test and we cant
High profile people are, or deal with, international travelers in the course of their normal life.
Internet scuttlebutt is all the Pedophiles are going to be rounded up after the election. (Pizzagate, Pedo Island, etc) if they don’t stop Trump’s re-election.
I think perhaps its because they travel more and are shaking hands with lots of people and go out more- whereas the general populus is at home eating frozen pizza.
Because they are being tested and other less profile people are not.
“Any theories on why so many high profile people are getting this, when its so rare in the general population? I mean Actors, athletes, and politicians.”
Because they are all gregarious and sucking up to hordes of people all the time....especially the politicians.
Not believing it. In an area where almost nobody tests positive, the mayor’s wife tests positive? She must really get around.
i.e. probably a false positive.

High profile people travel more and socialize with larger groups of people more than everyone else. They also socialize with or work more with foreigners. They are on airplanes with foreigners more often as they travel the world.

Good to see you keep up the Freeper tradition of not reading the article. ;)
She was exposed to a known (later) case at a party.
Best wishes for a full recovery, and I hope the rest of the family avoids contracting the disease.
So they don’t wash their hands, maintain social distance, and stay in like the rest of us are INSTRUCTED to do. I call bullshit on all of it.
