An acclaimed research professor in France revealed successful results of a potential treatment for COVID-19, the coronavirus, The Connexion reports.

Professor Didier Raoult, who works for the infection hospital l’Institut Hospitalo-Universitaire (IHU) Méditerranée Infection in Marseille, published a new video in which he explained that the COVID-19 patients who were treated “with the drug chloroquine had seen a rapid and effective speeding up of their healing process, and a sharp decrease in the amount of time they remained contagious,” according to The Connexion, an English site for French news.

Chloroquine is probably dangerous for some salamander species, so we probably can’t use it. Darn.

Crossing fingers. Economy would explode if this is true.

How long before the FDA issues a prohibition against the drug being used for treating the Chinese Flu?

"Didier Raoult is a serious, real scientist and clinical researcher."

Unrelated but it stuck out at me ... there was a time when you didn't have to precede the word 'scientist' with 'serious, real' ... but alas, the left has butchered the word science like they butcher everything that means something. Now it's second nature to have modify words with 'in this case, I really mean it, like what it used to mean, serious, real.'

and like one poster said, it’s like chicken soup. It can’t hurt. :)

I agree. Considering we’ve nuked our economy over this, I don’t see why we can’t “overreact” in this direction and try the stuff out on a larger scale.

The only one I know is way tougher than any ol' floro-chloro-quinny-ninnyo-nine!

Time for gin & tonic?

(Cholorquine is SIMILAR to quinine, the key ingredient in tonic water. Unfortunately, because there are so many adverse health effects to quinine, there’s not much in tonic water any more.)

Check the potential side effects. Some of them might hurt.

Yeah, if you chug the stuff like free breath mints.

Water will drown you if you get too much.

I’m not saying everyone should take this, but if you test positive, hell yes you should take it. We’re nuking the world’s economy here. We shouldn’t be holding off giving this decades old treatment to people who test positive because they might get a side effect.

You may find this interesting. I think the study is being published as we speak. The scientists/researchers are sharing the trial data with the public.

A recent well controlled clinical study (to be published) conducted by Didier Raoult M.D/Ph.D, et. al in France has shown that 100% of patients that received a combination of HCQ and Azithromycin tested negative and were virologically cured within 6 days of treatment.

The giant trillion dollar pharmaceutical and vaccine industry wants to try to stay ahead of the curve and control everything and get you to pay for it

The problem for the giant industry is Theurve really never come up with good ways to control or kill viruses - they’re just too tricky

Now of course silver nano particles or colloidal silver is well known to take out viruses and bacteria and they all know it

But having followed us about 40 years now they will never ever admit it because there’s too much money at stake

In the 80s, I had my fair share of tonic [and gin] and I can attest that other than doing wonderfully stupid things sometimes, I was otherwise unaffected.

So don’t give it to salamanders.

Problem solved.

Hydroxychloroquine may be even better.

Total dosing 1 to 10 g per patient. 100 to a thousand patients treated per kilogram.

Need to treat at least 10 million patients.

10,000 to 100,000 kg required, ballpark.
