Because it is not nearly as deadly and dangerous as all of the Panic mongers say it is. I believe months and years from now when all of the numbers finally come out and are crunched the WHO and alarmists will have egg on their face over this. There will be hearings with the CDC heads where they will be gulping glasses of water placed on green felt tables in Congress while dodging questions.
And it’s up to us to make our representatives feel the heat.
There is a hospital in italy where 100% of patients with cover 19 on ventilators have died and they don’t know why. Things like that ARE scary.
“when all of the numbers finally come out and are crunched the WHO and alarmists will have egg on their face over this.”
Don’t count on it. The “numbers that finally come out” will be numbers they provide/invent — and isn’t that convenient? There’s NFW they’ll tell the truth if the truth reflects badly on them.
Could it be that the media’s Trump derangement has somehow infected their reporting ?
It's my opinion that the push for a dramatic reaction was based primarily in an effort to portray Trump as being uncaring, and ineffective. The secondary reason was then based on public health issues. Consider that Trump did react forcefully when no one was really paying attention by shutting down travel to China at the end of January, and he was criticized for it. But if the US has a relatively low death rate, and a relatively short outbreak period, every politician will claim credit. If it goes haywire, they will blame Trump.

I’m sure every president/prime minister/supreme leader has asked the question, “What if we don’t lock down the countrywhat will happen?” and they haven’t liked the answer they’ve heard. So the major nations of Europe have basically shut down, several large states and cities in the US have done the same, borders in Europe have reappeared, and the world’s economy has taken a hit.
