They’ll simply do what was done in the past. Round them up and give them 24/7 shelter. The only reason they stopped doing that was to make Reagan look bad, and then it was to make any Republican, anywhere in government, look bad.
But when push comes to shove, they’ll quickly fix the ‘problem’. Just watch - in a week there won’t be a single ‘homeless’ in SF.
It's going to be difficult to manage. For those sleeping in shelters, they could ask them to stay, but there would be a lot of challenges in managing that. In the end, how is that much different than a cruise ship as far as spreading the virus? For those on the street, I don't know.
My daughter is a Public Health Nurse, and they are currently working at the homeless shelters to screen the "residents" for COVID-19 symptoms and track the spread in the homeless community. There is so much effort going on under the radar. Everyone sees mayors, governors and other leaders laying out major policies, but there are so many people actually in the trenches putting themselves between the virus and us.
That is such a good question.
Similar to the one that asked if the point of curfews was to make sure everyone’s on the street at the same time.
Send a garbage truck out daily to pick up the dead off the streets? Some parts of California are a third world country now. I'm sure San Fran Nan has a plan LOL
