My local primary care office is refusing new patients. Refusing appointments that are non acute.

I have to get a prescription renewed so Dr got me on the schedule.

They are screening people at the door with questions and wont let you in if you meet two criteria.

I will be wearing an n95 mask and gloves. Going to get in and out as fast as possible

I am considering just going to one of those Minute clinics but not sure the exposure would be any less

I feel for people on the front line. A lot will get this

I think the exposure there would be worse and I have heard that many of these are closing.

Lots of insurance companies are pushing the telemedicine option. Maybe your insurance company can refer you to a doctor that can meet with in video conference call to get your refill. Just a thought.
