People have been buying Tylenol around here...it’s the American name for paracetamol, which is safer than ibuprofen, etc. It doesn’t work as fast, unfortunately, IMHO, but it works and does less harm to the body.

Tylenol is not really safer. However, it doesn’t cause stomach irritation; so it can be given on an empty stomach, unlike NSAIDS like ibuprofen, aspirin or naproxen. That is why hospitals use it.

There is a fast acting Tylenol out there. Check the label.

Actually Tylenol can kill your liver. Do not exceed recommended dose.

Keeping in mind that the margin between maximum recommended dose and ‘I need a new liver’ is smaller than other similar drugs. As directed, it is extremely safe, but don’t double up or take maximum dosage for multiple days without explicit directions.

Tylenol also has the property of working through different methods from NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen, so you can alternate between the two with good effect.
