I don't believe the Coronavirus will get in America out of hand like it did in China. I also believe the danger will pass in a fee weeks if we can just push through and not panic. There are a few reasons I say this. The most important reason is that we were forewarned. Lets hear it for the the power of free speech. It's something the Chinese people lack and allowing better communication could have saved more of them.
The Chinese people were not warned about the virus. Indeed, the Chicoms did their best not to warn their people. It was only when it got out of control that they had to take measures to fight the virus. So they chose to enforce mandatory social distancing among other more violent measures.
Americans are practicing social distancing in spades. As a people we do so more than any country. We like our space and we've extended that space. Of course, in the long run it's not good for our society.
The other thing I think people are practicing is better hygiene practices. People are washing their hands more often and longer. They are buying up and using sanitizer. This is crucial to stopping any virus.
Lastly, denying access to this country from places where the virus is out of control is vital. This inhibits the "viral input" into our communities. The travel ban will probably have to extend until the Europeans and others get their act together.
I don't see a reason why we can't beat this virus quickly. The measures have been extreme for a free and open country but they were implemented early. I don't see any reason why this virus won't peak soon and the cases start dropping precipitously.
There is no doubt the leftist mainstream media is hyping COVID-19’s threat out of proportion to make Trump look bad. A side effect of this strategy is that the resulting measures will curb the spread of COVID-19, and make the leftist MSM look like idiots.
Two outcomes are certain. If COVID-19’S outcome is mild the MSM will say that Trump over-reacted. If COVID-119’s outcome is more severe the MSM will say that Trump under-reacted.
There are people in this world who just love scaring themselves. That’s why Hollywood keeps producing those horror films.
The testing plan didn’t magically appear. Everyone acts like it was decided the night before it was announced. Frankly after the Swine flea epidemic the government should have had plans for this and it shouldn’t have been thrown into Trump to reinvent the wheel, but with democrats in charge it’s no wonder the responsible decisions fell to the floor.
Italy also is the country with the second oldest median age in the world. Japan is first but the Japanese have a totally different way of greeting each other. Italy also has many Chinese nationals working in textile factories in the region where the corona virus is rampant.

But China, with over a billion people and a lot of crowded cities, has about 84,000 cases?
Your dismissiveness reminds of doctors and nurses that say relax, nothing to worry about, go home, only to see the patient sicker or dying. You are rationing care and telling people to ignore the smoke around them, wait until the fire laps that their toes before taking action. And then they will be looking for your help, and you’ll be sick or too busy to care. And I mean this constructively.
Really, you know how to practice medicine? You remind me of all the patients that clog up the system with self centered and irrelevant complaints that require neither care nor support, but demand attention. And I mean that constructively
Italy is obviously more transparent and better indicator. They have good healthcare, good hygiene, and are not a 3rd world cesspool.
Heat and sunshine will curb the spread of COVID-19. China’s filthy cultural habits started this epidemic in the dead of winter. Northern American states have a higher transmission rate than southern states. If Americans work this correctly we can delay its spread here until warmth squelches it. Hopefully this will all be a memory in November.

FDR did not have the evil media bashing him in every way possible 24/7. Many people in this country actually believe that Trump is a stupid liar who is only interested in increasing his own family’s wealth. These are frightening times, for many reasons.
Hope it is your and not my infected neighbors break quarantine to comeing over and lick door knobs. Some people do that without quarantine. Libs are f’n nuts. What do you suggest we do with them?

Who knows, the panickers in here may yet prove to be right, but the data to this point make that FAR from a certainty.
That’s a pretty good description. I would hate to have to share a fox hole with any of them.
I don’t think we’ll beat it until we have a vaccine. Under this president, though, I think that changes that were long overdue to our pandemic response procedures will finally be made.
I’m also hoping that as sh*t gets real the ranks of the Americans up Xi’s butt will begin to thin. We need our pharma manufacturing back.
Hopefully the necessity of working and schooling from home will also start to break down over reliance on certain housing markets that are currently overburdened.

People were patriotic and like their country. Today we have entire political party that hates the country and media that dies to.
Although I haven’t seen this anywhere I wonder if hospitals are testing everyone who enters and may limit who may enter.
I think we can beat it quickly if we hunker down. It may come back in the fall.
That is when we will likely need a vaccine. As far as China we all need to stop buying from China. That would send the most powerful message.
