Did we shut the country down for Polio?
No.
Did we shut the country down for measles?
No.
Did we shut the country down for the Swine Flu?
No.

There’s way too much mass hysteria here and not enough rational thinking - even from our “learned masters”

Ohio’s governor is now talking keeping the shut down going FOR MONTHS.

You cannot keep the supply chains of the US operating this way and MORE people WILL STARVE and people WILL DIE from the collapse of civilization and unemployment then from the deaths of this virus.

Those are either not respitory illnesses, taxing the number of respirators we have, or do not spread as quickly.

Not valid comparisons.

You can find much more recent examples in SARS and H1N1 flu. No shutting down the country for those either. Covid-19 is just SARS all over again. I don’t know anybody who got SARS. I can’t point to one relative or friend who got SARS. It was a non-event here in California.
