It.
Wont.
Work.
You might be able to flatten the curve by destroying civilization and the economy for two weeks in the nation but its still happening around the world and the virus WILL continue to spread and then make its way back into the US.
And then what? Shut down the country again for two weeks?
Doesn’t need to “work” 100%. Working 50% will still save lives.
Agree. And is the virus going to just go away because we are hovering inside our homes and watching golfers from the 50s? Sooner or later when we emerge from this protective cocoon its going to run its course. Will we have a vaccine? Well maybe and maybe not. Meantime will we still have a country?
Amen! I can understand trying to slow the spread out some to allow time to experiment with treatment. But we don’t need to destroy our country over it. I’d be safer driving a tank to work instead of a car, but I have to balance safety against all the rest of my life.
There will be roughly 900,000 Americans killed by abortion this year. I’m supposed to panic over coronavirus?
Flattening the curve will mean fewer people in the hospital at once, making successful treatment more likely of more people. Plus the springtime weather may mean a flu-like retreat of the virus. This gives time to develop and test vaccines.
The vaccines are even now being tested.
Hopefully, we’ll have a good vaccine and medicines to directly treat it.
The key is now, not some future date.
Help stop the spread.
