Apparently, a URL was mandatory, so I linked to FR.
Has anyone else read this book? I inherited it from my grandfather, who was a cop with an extensive library consisting of all manners of philosophy, religion, myth, and history. I ask because I'm hardly thirty pages in, and I feel like this book was just written.

"Dedicated to: Mary Gracious Mother-Heart Of the World's Savior In Prayerful Hope Of The Conversion of Russia"
Lastly, a paragraph; the one which made me want to post:
"The liberal world rejected the Church because it was too dogmatic with its exact definitions of Hypostatic Union and Immaculate Conception, too hierarchal with its bishops who derived their authority from the Apostles, and claimed to be guardians of the faith and of the morals of the people. But lo and behold, millions today are embracing the counterchurch for these reasons; they love its infallibly defined dogmas of dialectical materialism, economic determinism and its labor theory of value; they like its hierarchy of approved party leaders who as bishops of the new counterchurch derive their authority from the apostles, Marx and Lenin, and who in their role of secret police keep the errant in the party line, even to the consummation of this world." (Pg 26, paragraph 1)
Fulton Sheen is hard to beat!
I admit, he’s most engaging.
Thanks. I love to read, but have not read that. Resource/education BUMP!
Bishop Sheen was from an era when the Church’s leadership was actually Catholic.
Thank you very, very, very much, sir. WOW! GREAT information coming up. That’ll keep me busy.
Thanks for the link. I did not know Bishop Fulton Sheen.
I felt the same way reading Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1939) by James Joyce, written about an earlier time when he was a student at Trinity College, Dublin, and the Soviets were spreading their propaganda all over the universities.
Many Thanks for the link to Bishop Sheen videos.
I saved and kept the book that was mentioned.
A modern, educated nun was throwing out all his books along with Thomas Aquinas at my local church library.
May God have mercy on us all.
