If I was a farmer I would require an irrevocable letter of credit I could call upon at a Swiss bank if the land was seized again.

It seems that blacks cannot live without whites.
They will follow the Crackas to the ends of the earth.
Seems to me to be like a parent-child relationship. The children want to be in charge, and when given the opportunity, screw things up so badly that the parents have to step in to restore order.
At this point, certain groups show up to agitate the blacks against the “racist” whites and the whole cycle repeats.

That wasn’t the white farmers. It was tribal warfare between Hutus and Tutsis. The tribe that was full of short people cut off the legs of the tribe that was full of tall people.
And I think I heard most of the people doing the chopping were kids. It was real Lord of the Flies stuff. May God have mercy on our souls.
I think some Rhodesian whites stayed in the country because they were too destitute to be able to travel to another country.
I don’t think I’d be running back to farm there. They have lost so much knowledge and experience that even white farmers can’t make them prosperous again.
They were most likely competent farmers at subsistence level, digging sticks and all that. Suh agriculturalists are able to produce enough for their families in most years. Giving them charge of big farms with machinery and they are at a loss and have not the capital to make use of what they have taken. Replacing factory farming with the digging stick does nothing for the urban population.
