The story so far: On March 8, Indias Health Ministry said the total number of the highly contagious coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country had risen to 34. In December 2019, the World Health Organisation (WHO) had declared an outbreak of the febrile respiratory illness of unknown etiology from Wuhan, Hubei Province of China. The outbreak was epidemiologically linked to the Wuhan Seafood Wholesale Market involving the sale of seafood and live animals. Later named COVID-19, it has now spread to more than 90 countries apart from China, there are 101,923 confirmed cases and 3,486 deaths from 94 countries, areas and territories (as on March 7, 10:00 CET). WHO has declared the outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

The Indian people swim in the Ganges River, which is the equivalent of swimming in a sewer, and hardly any of them get sick from doing it. Coronavirus is the equivalent of the sniffles to them!
All the turmeric in that wonderful curry.....?
I wonder what the predominant blood type is in India. I read that type O seems to handle this better. I have no idea if that’s true or just internet BS.
Have you seen the one where a guy is brushing his teeth while a stiff floats by?
It helps build your immunity!! ;-) Something along the lines of “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!”
Itlf they actually had a lot of cases their hospitals would be reporting noticeable increases in respiratory admissions and need for ventilations. The same is true for Vietnam, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia and sub Saharan Africa, which has fewer cases than Long Island. All these have important mutual links to China.
This is a targeted bioweapon designed not so much to kill, though there will be deaths, but to destabilize society, its financial and econimic sectors, its health care systems, even its cultural centers that provide distraction from real world. We havd been attacked.

A country of 1.39 BILLION people, and not a single ONE has ever had a solid bowl movement.
Its funny because its true!
We wouldnt have noticed it either were it not for a citizen reporter in China that alerted the world to the presence of the virus in Wuhan.
The virus would have escaped China to be discovered elsewhere probably after it was wide spread in the US and the rest of the world.
I take two turmeric capsules every day. I drink and smoke (want to quit) and am almost 60 but look late 40s.
Exactly.
Let’s wait a year before we start the victory dance...
Impossible to hide news from India, so many speak/understand English and almost every one has a cell phone, and it is impossible to stop Indians from incessant conversations.
I have a guess why covid-19 is not spreading fast. Indians do NOT shake hands. The universal greeting in India is namaste, where you join your palms and hold them close to your chest.
That’s a great greeting.
There is lot of truth in that. Just living in crowded India (12 times population density of US) you either build immunity fast to diseases or you get very sick quickly.
No need for the capsules. Just get some powdered turmeric and spread it on eggs, use it with rice, spread on chicken and anything else. It is a bit pungent but you get used to it. You are spending needlessly for the capsules. Also, whenever you use it for cooking, add a bit of freshly ground black pepper, it greatly enhances turmeric absorption.
We actually make our own capsules using powered turmeric so it s much cheaper than buying store brand capsules. Your suggestion is appreciated nonetheless. We get our powdered turmeric from a local Indian grocery store.
Thanks, sounds hopeful.
