Here is more info, regarding TP...

Materials needed to make toilet paper are:

Trees
Water
Chemicals for extracting fiber
Bleaches like chlorine dioxide

==

Good to know that you confirmed that the CHEMICALS used to extract fiber, and that bleaches, are all readily available (manufactured), in the USA.

Their statement about shipping antibiotic related supplies could be a face saving exercise—could be incapable of shipping product. Are employees reassured their place of work is now safe, willing to return to work? The manufacturing operations may still be shut down.

We used to laugh at granny’s stash of 1000 rolls of tp and paper towels. Not laughing now. I’ll never come close to equally her.

Were you long in the wrong stocks?

The anger and panic from you butflubros is causing more turmoil than just letting us discuss and prepare for what is still to come.

By the way, this kills at least 10 times as many infected as the flu even with an entire country’s resources focused on just 8k cases, so letting it run amok would crash our HCS and then you wanna talk about the economy tanking when 1 in 15 infected people die from a totally uncontrolled pandemic?

To stop that, shutdowns, lockdowns and quarantines will be and are necessary. Preparing for that is simple common sense.

It’s NOT the flu.

I bet he told them all ahead of time. Good personal touch. Allows them to declare their own state ahead of time, and the federal declaration not seem to be draconian or overly federal.

Dr Birx said that, while the under 20 group may be less susceptible to this disease, they are considered very capable of spreading it.....

The issues with nuclear power plant operations are both a demographics and an insurance thing.

Most nuclear control room operators are ex-USN submarine or carrier nuclear power plant operators between 40 and 60 years of age.

Nuclear power plant operators hire ex-military with that background because it saves on certification training costs.

The issue here is that after Fukishima, You can expect that between case percentage of those age cohorts, and post exposure quarantine, nuclear plants will get shut down by the operators simply to keep their insurance.

Let’s put that another way.

What chance do you see of the House passing a Federal government insurance indemnification of nuclear power plant operators for running their plant with the less than NRC work force?

My analysis of the chances of that happening are slim and none, and slim left the building after the Three Mile Island incident.
