Yep. Is this type of ridiculous, overblown furor going to occur every time a new disease pops up? Or maybe only when a Republican is president?

It’s like some strains of the flu. Some will get it, some will die, most will recover. This virus made extremely dangerous by the Lame Street Media and their Democratic puppets. Instead of affecting the young it affects older folks more who unlike the young have a hard time recovering from any viral infection.

I agree. And I think that some of his medical advisors have probably read Trump the riot act: Keep calling it the flu, (following Rush’s lead), and they will quit, and call him out as unprepared to lead in a pandemic.

That’s how I read his face last night. FWIW.

Tests a month ago might have gotten us off the Italy and onto the S. Korea path earlier.

They might have even led to tighter travel restrictions earlier.

The Rats will try to beat Trump with this testing stick until November.

His counter will be they called his China restrictions racist.

I can’t wait for the Trump / Biden debates. Biden reads a teleprompter okay, (today), but he will be destroyed in debates.

Some people are complaining about speech in regards to the epidemic and claiming that market damage is caused only by the speech. That’s incorrect.

It’s the epidemic. There are shortages of supplies from countries assigned to manufacture most of our goods, manufacturing suspensions in yet other countries due to lack of supplies, news about cancellations of crowded entertainment events, travel cancellations and other causes.

The real market difficulties will happen after refusals to take needed measures and a big surprise (many severe illnesses and deaths). And the less speech in advance, the more widespread and profound the shock will be.

The spread of the virus is only beginning here. Let’s see what happens during the month ahead. It’s too late to stock up without some appreciable risk, by the way.

Trump is NOT calling it the flu he is comparing the hysteria over this virus to the ACTUAL number of deaths and cases of the flu!!! He has NEVER called it the flu!!!

I’m acting by not acting like an idiot. I’m washing my hands, like always. I’m taking precautions, like always. I’m going about my business, like always. Anything else is stupid.

Or, Trump like so many other leaders in history before him finally had a personal epiphany, one in which after clearly laid out facts were finally digested, they did a full 180 turn about.

Wilson - he kept us out of the war; Roosevelt - no foreign engagements; Ford - the model T is sufficient (before shuttering all production as he shifted to the model A).

Denial, negotiation, etc - the human condition is constant throughout all individuals. But once a leader decides to act, they act. I think that within a few days, as the daily numbers keep coming in, we'll have a pretty good idea on growth projections.

Once people are comfortable hanging out, but equipped with a visualized end date somewhere down the line 4-8 weeks, we'll settle into the new normal without too many problems.

Best paper I have read on the subject. Don’t interpret this as the end of the world. We have about 60 days of crisis ahead of us and then we have to pick up the pieces of the economy.

When it comes to Vitamin C the more the merrier and I would go for 12gm. The worst what may happen is that it may give you the trots. But in order to avoid this start out at a lower dose an keep increasing it. As far as the NAC is concerned, it boost your resistance as it is a precursor to glutathione, protects and helps your lungs as well as your liver. There is plenty of material to rad about NAC all you have to do is Google for it. Amongst others it also helps people with COPD. Stay healthy and well, the best to you!

I’m not gonna read it.

We have (at least) 6 weeks of provisions. While it will get boring after a few weeks we will be properly nourished with full stomachs.
Having lived through many hurricanes in Florida before escaping some years ago we always keep several month’s supply of TP and paper towels on hand.

We have 6+ months of essential meds.

And.....sufficient self defense implements and their related consumables to keep custody of our goods.

So if true, then what’s the worry about supply chains?

I don't know it it is true, but even if it is, with a JIT world distribution economy, the supply disruption that has already happened hasn't really begun to be felt. There is a time lag involved.

If the virus were totally eradicated in the next week, the effects that have already happened on the supply chains would linger for some time.

And what's surprising to me, is how many professed Conservatives
are pleased as punch with themselves for contributing to it.

Many thanks!

12g is too much for me; awhile back, I had gradually increased up to 8g & it was bad...
Maybe 6g; I’m at 4g now.

true - if you are fit and active and do not have diabetes or heart disease or high blood pressure or any weakened immune system, then you are at much lower risk. I think most elderly have one or more of those issues and that’s why the higher risk for them

After reading this article last Thursday (March 12, 2020) I decided to head back to Alaska immediately from my winter quarters in Arizona. I left early Saturday morning and arrived back home the following Thursday. Had I not read this article I would have probably left later and may not have made it to the Canadian border before it was closed.
