After a conference call among owners this afternoon, Major League Baseball is expected to suspend spring training. The league likely will delay the beginning of the regular season as well. At this point, it's a formality that ownership-level sources expect to happen.

Can you imagine the number of lawsuits filed by fans who would blame the clubs for their infections from attending games (provable or not)?
This action is likely driven by legal considerations, I would guess.
Also players might be able to sue if they get infected. I know several NFL players sued their team and won for catching diseases in their locker rooms.
What lunacy. Why havent the movie studios shut the theaters down? I mean if the is anything these days that can wait until the virus clears its going to the movie theatre. Plenty of ways to watch movies. Just wait for everything to to be available online. Absolutlely no need to go to a crowded theatre. Or....would this hurt the looney hollywood left who will do anything to hurt Trump. Inquiring minds want to know. When is hollywood going to suspend the movies?
Because attendance at movies doesn't approach the definition of a 'mass gathering'?
The Jack Ryan series on Prime is good as is Bosch. I also dig the cheesy 1950s sci-fi movies, but that’s me :)
Everyone is like lemmings, once the NBA did it, the others quickly followed.
I am looking forward to watching “Life Force” when the kids and wife are asleep.......

In anticipation of the corona virus I stopped going to movies years ago.
Just the last few hours-SEC, Nascar, NHL, MLB(?)
Just as now almost all Universities are cancelling classes. Guess I’m going to be stuck with the kids for awhile, LOL!
Yet all the public schools elementary/middle/high are still in session.
I’ll check out Life Force. The first season of Goliath is also very good (cussing alert). It rolls off the track somewhat in the 2nd season.
That will change soon enough.
They just closed public schools in my town indefinitely.
I did hear a doctor say that sports locker rooms are a particularly risky place for the transmission of viruses.
Warm, humid, sweat and other body fluids around, many men in tight quarters, etc.
