I personally believe the NBA had a duty to its players to shut down games....basketball is a contact sport and who knows how many players have been infected. It's not like they're playing chess.

But while I am (believe it or not) supportive of the NBA's decision, I can see LOTS of fans being peeved and becoming LESS inclined to wash hands etc. I also suspect the NHL will have a little swagger and keep playing.

btw, I was wrong about Fred being in good shape. He has heart condition and has had two surgeries...so he is susceptible.
