Nearly 200 people in Italy have died in 24 hours as cases of coronavirus in the country continue to rise.

There have been 827 deaths in Italy and the number of cases increased by more than 2,000, from 10,149 to 12,462, official figures showed.

In the worst-hit area, the northern region of Lombardy, there have been 617 fatalities, an increase of 149 in the last 24 hours.

The number of cases in the region - which includes Italy's financial capital Milan and has seen the majority of cases of the virus - has also risen by 1,489 in the last 24 hours, Reuters reported.

It comes after the Republic of Ireland reported its first death of a patient who tested positive for coronavirus, the country's Health Protection Surveillance Centre has said.

In a statement, chief medical officer Dr Tony Holohan said: "I would like to extend my condolences to the family and friends of this patient.

"I urge the media and the public to respect their privacy at this difficult time.

"We continue our efforts to interrupt the transmission of this virus. It will take all of us, collectively to succeed. Please continue to follow public health advice."

Countries including Sweden, Belgium, Bulgaria and Kuwait have also reported their first fatalities following positive tests for COVID-19 - the disease caused by coronavirus.

Earlier on Wednesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said up to 70% of the country's population could be infected with coronavirus, with the number of deaths linked to the disease rising across the world.

"We continue our efforts to interrupt the transmission of this virus. It will take all of us, collectively to succeed. Please continue to follow public health advice."

Countries including Sweden, Belgium, Bulgaria and Kuwait have also reported their first fatalities following positive tests for COVID-19

Heat wave with no a/c, cold winter or the flu: Elderly are the ones that get hit disproportionately.

Still no sign of masses of healthy young people dying from the Wu Flu. If that was the case we certainly would be hearing about it.

So older people don’t matter?

If you are around your older parents or grandparents, you have a responsibility to try to avoid infection. You would probably be fine but could kill your loved ones.

Please note that per the chart, this virus is between 2x and 140x as deadly as common flu. It’s serious business.

Hoping to beat the "It's just a flu, Bro!" crowd to the thread...
Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

Should we simply sacrifice our parents / grandparents? Is it what you are saying?

The Daily Mail in England has it on their website for Italy situation. Old people dying...

In poor hospitals thanks to their single payor national healthcare system. Imagine if the Dems get their way and install that here and we'd have to tell the old folks we would not treat them as we need to ration care? Would the media get upset?

If a DemonRat was in the WH, these details would be included in the first paragraph of the reporting. We are watching. We see the hypocrisy. We won’t forget.

Coronavirus: Italy sees nearly 200 deaths in 24 hours as outbreak continues

Partner, we were all wondering why in the world is "Italy Seeing High Bud Lite Viruses". Now we know why?

Italy has a lot of traffic from the Chicoms. Italy let the Chicoms buy up some of the Professional Soccer teams in Italy and that is the No. 1 reason why we are seeing this Respiratory Virus in high numbers. There are deaths occurring in Italy since there are a lot of older people in Italy.

Italy needs to close its airports to Chicom citizens period. Italy can not afford to let these Chicoms come into their country period.

Apparently we need to let this virus run its course since there is no cure for a virus. It is a respiratory virus which affects the breathing and it will hit older folks a lot more than younger folks.

It will affect probably less than one per cent (1%) of the world's population.

This means that the MSM is playing this up in the U.S. and it is the biggest bald faced lie the MSM has come up with since they hate President Trump so much since President Trump beat Miss Crooked Hillary.

BTW, the no. of fatalities from this Coors Lite Virus in Italy comes directly from the Chicoms traveling to Italy. I caught this little gem from hearing the Rush Limbaugh talking show host is Rush Limbaugh.

Aw. C’mon Charley. You can do better than that. Tell us what you know about the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The media still refuses to report demographics of the infected or the dead.

Credit to Duterte and the Philippines:

Two couples, two men, two wives, are fatalities just north of Manila. Both couples had recently attended muslim religious services at the same location.

It may turn out that the Iran connections are more important than the Chinese connections in this outbreak.

How is the virus doing in African nations (Ethiopia?) where China has taken over land and businesses?

Good for you! Last December I would not visit my mom when I had cold sores she was 83. Contagion is very real.

I get sicknesses very fast from family members, as in hours. I am going to start asking if anyone is ill and if they are I will stay away. So you are wise to protect your mom.

So at my age, IF I were to contract the virus, I have a 96.4% chance of surviving. Since I’m in very good heatlh for my age, the percentage is likely better.
