Time to stay calm and continue on....
Yesterday's thread is here:

Given that the Toronto Raptors were the last team to play Utah on Monday I am expecting a good chunk of them if not all to be infected. They flew home together from Salt Lake and were doing charity work in the community yesterday before the news hit. They are now supposed to be self isolating and awaiting results of tests.

Governor press briefing at 2 pm.

The cases are in Johnson County and involve three people who attended the same conference in Florida. It is believed they contracted COVID-19 in Florida. They were not symptomatic when traveling home
and sought care once they began feeling ill.

Lookner back—
Italy—new hospitalizations today—more than 100 (didn’t catch exact number)...too many patients for each one to receive adequate care—they lack machines to ventilate all those gasping for air...
Creepy Joe, SHUT UP!
LOL.
actually in posession of hearsay about the MS case.
wE’ll see if anything public gets said...
Wonder what Lookner China was lying about, did he find proof. We all know their numbers was a lie.
We need to start manufacturing ventilating machines in the USA now. Wonder if we can use 3d printing....
“It’s raining cash!”
Probably a good idea.
Taking the scenic route is always a worry. Of course, they could always hitch a flight on a carrier since trade goods are free to travel from ANYWHERE to a US airport. Did you see the two carrier guys who flew into LAX with CV?
I am sure someone is working on it.
But I cannot imagine the manufacturing capabilities can be “spun up” in short order.
Flu = illness

Spain has reported 782 new cases of coronavirus and 31 new deaths so far today, raising the country’s total to 3,059 cases and 86 dead
I doubt well get a better case study during this nightmare of how a single persons cavalier denialism about the threat from the disease can put entire industries at risk. This happened two days ago. Gobert apparently thought it was silly that the NBA had set a new rule requiring reporters to stay six feet away from players at all time. So, as a goof, he decided to touch all of their microphones after his Q&A ended.
Word leaked last night that he had tested positive for COVID-19. The game between his team, the Utah Jazz, and the Oklahoma City Thunder was immediately canceled minutes before tip-off. Five NBA teams are now in self-quarantine. The season is on hiatus and may not resume in time for the playoffs. Reporters in the room for Goberts Q&A are worried that they have the illness too.
January, when we started threads, seems an eternity.
I actually believe all this shutting down of campuses and offices and travel is just going to propel people to socialize and I also mean fornicate more and drink more and more bars and more parties and more shopping and I would not be surprised if it increases covid rates.
Although how would you ever know what WOULD have been if we hadnt shut all these things?
Per the Minnesota Department of Health, we now have nine (9) confirmed positive tests for COVID-19.
https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/situation.html
The affected counties are Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Stearns and Olmsted. All but the last two counties are located in the Minneapolis-St Paul metro area. The remaining two counties are about 75-90 minutes from the metro area and include the cities of St Cloud and Rochester respectively.
The Minnesota Department of Health has conducted 9as of now) 316 tests for COVID-19.
